  1. Thank you for that. Well it makes sense. I just get so mad when I try and ask the dr and he gives me no answer. I even said will it cause damage to eat LOL
  2. I had my frist fill three weeks ago, no biggie did not notice much change, had my second fill yesterday and he had a hard time with my port it hurt like he!!. So than I ask him the same question I did last time why can't we eat foods after a fill. He did not give me really an answer so than I start reading and find that some people can eat after a fill, come can't, some have to wait 4-5 days. So what is the reason behind not being able to eat after your fills??
  3. I had my first fill. Felt great, followed the rules the first 48 hrs nothing but liquids. It has been about a week. I don't know how to get over being overly paranoind about stretching or slipping of my band. I went to dinner with a girlfriend had two bread sticks about two bites of chicken breast and I felt like I may have gotten something stuck the feeling went away and it hurt just a little and I freaked out. Did not drink or eat the rest of the night. I am worried about not getting enough or eating to much, I have also found myslef not waiting two min between bites is there a possibly I have done something wrong. I was thinking about going back to my pre diet before surgery for a while two protein shakes and a salad for lunch. Any thoughts anyone else gone through this emotional roller coaster?
  4. Thank you so much everyone. It feels good to know it is normal:) There have been a few times I was scared I did something wrong.
  5. I may be over reacting but I am not sure what to think. I am 7 weeks post op, and I feel like I did before I had surgery, I can eat more, I get hungry more often, I have been trying to stick to the basics and it has been hard. I will catch myself eating too fast and slow down, after I eat I feel like I have something stuck in my throat it does not bother me and goes away within min. Not to mention I have not lost any more weight. Which I am ok with my main concern is being healthy and not having a slippage or something to that affect. With a slippage is it possible to not have any symptoms? I have seen the dr once and have an appointment on Sat to do my first fill. I am not sure what to expect and I would hope they would do an x ray before they do the fill. What can I expect for my first fill? I have brought up my concerns to the dr and he tells me it is normal to feel this way and not to focus on what could be wrong. Any advice?
  6. Thank you everyone. It is a struggle but I am hanging in there it helps to know it is normal of what I feel . I have been trying to drink as much as I can water does help in between. Most of it is just a mind control it is going to take some time getting use to. But glad to know it is all normal:)
  7. Thank you for responding and that helps. Dont change your screen name we all have to keep strong and look for advice where we an get it:) I love this site, I get so much help and comfort and pick me ups:)
  8. I am going on 6 weeks post op. I don't have my second visit until July 14th, with that being said I am hoping to get my first fill. Here is what I am expieriencing I am getting hungry about 1 to 2 hrs after I eat. Now I can only eat a little bit but more than 1/2 cup. I feel great no pain but I also feel like I can eat like I did before I had lap band. I am at a stand still with my weight I am down 22 lbs and I am happy about that but I am just wondering if what I am feeling is normal. I brought it up to my dr and he pretty much said we will see what happens and how your feeling when you see me. Is this normal to feel this way? I am eating alot of protein, I have been drinking protein in between meals to see if that helps and I am not really snacking in between, trying to stick to what the dr gave me as a guide to eat. I had a piece of whole wheat bread with all natural peanut butter that seemed to help a little but again I get hungry soon after I eat. It is such a mental fight I have with myself, because I am not about to go back to the way I ate before lap band and it is so hard. Advise, suggestions anything HELPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP:) OH one more question Salad is safe to eat at this stage right? If so I am going to start eating salad.
  9. Thank you. That makes sense. I just am trying so hard to not do the wrong thing scared I may over eat and stretch. I just seems like I can eat more and I am trying not to:)
  10. I am 27 days post op, does anyone have tips, or suggestions on foods? I have been eating the same thing for a while now and trying to get a variety. I am kind of frusterated with the dietician, she has not responded to any of my emails or messages. I am feeling hungry between meals, so I have my Protein shakes, I just don't think I am getting enough nutrion. I have not had a fill yet and I don't know if I should be expecting weight loss at this stage but I am just getting frusterated. So any tips, advice would help. Has anyone lost weight during the first month? Or should I be expecting it after a fill. I feel like I can eat more than just 1/2 cup. I dont see the dr for another three weeks. Thank you
  11. How do you add the weight loss charts? I keep seeing them
  12. Thank you very much. Ok than I can start feeling normal again. I swear every little thing I am like is something wrong LOL. I see my dr for my second follow up today. Thank you
  13. Hello everyone. I am 17 days post op and am following the example diets that were given to me by my dr. However I am finding that I am still hungry a little bit after I eat. When I first started I was satisfied. Could it be I am not getting enough Water to drink? Does anyone recommend a protien shake in between meals? Thank you
  14. Thank you everyone for your kind words. I seem to be doing ok, they gave me an anti nausea medication which really seems to help. It is such a learning process and when I get gasy it hurts, if I over drink or eat it hurts. I am trying to just take sips at a time. I find myself getting hungry more often so I will have a jello or a pudding. Does anyone have any ideas on foods or other options? Mine are getting boring:)
  15. Oh one more thing when I feel like this it is hard to put anything in my stomache I don't want to drink anything
