  1. You have to remember....we have no children at home, so.......
  2. I eat tuna most days. Lots of Protein. I keep a jar of mayo and relish in the office fridge. Sometimes I bring a boiled egg as well. Quick, easy and definitely economical! the 2.6 oz tuna package is $1.25. Good Luck!
  3. My materials from the Dr said 2 weeks, but the most we could wait was 10 days. We were just careful.
  4. Doesn't it feel good! I just left the 300's myself and I have been doing the happy dance for 2 weeks! Keep up the good work!
  5. Congratulations and WELCOME to the other side!
  6. That's just wonderful! Congratulations to you both!
  7. Wooooooooo Hooooooooo! What a great feeling! I'll bet your hubby is super proud!
  8. UGH, I hate those things...I'm hoping to have that same experinece (not having one when we fly in February). Good Luck
  9. I was banded 6/19, and my first fill was at 6 weeks. I got 3cc in a 10cc band. Since surgery I have lost 20 lbs. (I weigh again tomorrow) I have a little more restriction, but its definitely not enough. I'm going to see how this week looks before I call the dr for another fill. I know my scale, and my drs scale are not the same. I weigh more on mine than the dr. LOL Things may change for you after a fill. No one can give you a definite answer because there isn't one. Every person is different and the same exact band may perform differently in each person. Be sure you can get Water to go down after your first fill. I didn't do it with my fill and luckily I haven't had any trouble, but you never know. I will definitely do it this time. Good Luck in your journey!
  10. I know when I did my Upper GI for my pre-op, I felt yuck for several days....That stuff was NASTY! It felt "heavy" in my stomach. I never got sick enough to throw up or anything, but it was just a gener al icky feeling. My surgeon does not use flouro to fill. I've only had one fill and the PA did it. I didnt' have any trouble, but another girl in my group did. We weren't even asked to drink water to make sure it went down (that kinda bothered me). I will definitely do it before I leave from my next fill. I think the fill under flouro would be great so the surgeon can see exactly what your restriction would be like. Seems advantageous to me. Good Luck in your journey
  11. Welcome to your new life! Glad it went well.
  12. I have to take a multivitamin 2x a day, sublingual B-12, and after a month I added Calcium Citrate (1000-1500g/day) since surgery. I also take Biotin.
