    Its Time!

Good luck. Remember the first few hours are for recovery. Rest and walk as soon as your body is ready. Check in as soon as you are up to it.

    Post Op Diarhea

I had the same issue and was told it would go back to normal as I progressed to more solids. My NUT said "liquids in,liquids out." Things are better now. Good luck!
  3. At three weeks I started puree. Call your NUT in the morning and ask her to clarify your phases. Good luck!

    Six Months Out With Pic

Wow you are doing great! Wonderful job
  6. I have experienced the huh look from waitress/waiters too when I don't order a drink. It was so annoying that now I just get water. It was like a major deal that I didn't want a drink.

    Pizza Ideas

The cauliflower pizza recipe I used was the one that was given to me in this thread. The link takes you to the recipe girl site. I used the crust with turkey pepperoni. No one would know it was cauliflower unless you told them!

If you follow any of my posts you will see a lot of Bariwise products.they have been great for me and have been crucial to getting my protein in. Pizza Ideas

Wow thanks everyone for the ideas. I showed my husband a picture of the cauliflower pizza. I think we will try that tomorrow and start looking for the flat out. Thank you also for the Ham crust idea. It will be fun experimenting!
  12. I too had bad pain. It was relieved a bit after drain was removed but got bad again soon after. My pain was on the left. About 1 inch to the left of my belly button and 2 inches up. It was muscular according to my surgeon. I didn't have any symptoms of a leak. He had me stay on pain meds longer to help. I would communicate your concerns with your surgeon mine was great about easing my concerns. Best wishes!

    Sleeping

I had to sleep in a recliner. We have one of the loveseats that have the double recliners and made it up like a bed. It was comfy! I couldn't sleep in bed until my drain was removed.

    Getting Out Of Bed

I too slept in a recliner. It kept me the most comfortable.
  15. Check with your doctors office because some of the follow up care should be covered under what they call a global period. It is the care right after surgery and should cover your post op visits. Best wishes!
  16. Sorry phone is possessed and posted twice. Oh well if you are as stubborn as me you need to read something twice. LOL
  17. I too have PCOS please don't stress and try to stay off the scale. Especially if it is that time. Remember that part of this surgery is hormonal which has probably thrown your PCOS into overdrive. I am sure the further out you get the more regular you will be. Also remember as you drop weight it can effect cycles so imagine what it does with someone who has cycle issues. Good luck and keep your chin up!

    Need Puree Ideas

I pureed almost everything. I thought it was a fun stage. Weird I know. I would fix dinner for my husband then puree mine up. Had grilled chicken with light honey mustard, Turkey meat loaf, baked fish with DD Tartar sauce, chili, oh and a baked crab cake with ff Tartar. I used chicken and beef broth to thin as needed. Oh and you can take an egg, put it in a mug with a splash of skim milk. Add a light laughing cow cheese and scramble all together. Microwave 30 seconds stir then repeat until softly scrambled. Because I used a fork to break the eggs up during stirs I didn't have to puree the eggs after they were cooked. You would have to test for yourself. I found this stage a treat. Hope this helps. Let your imagination go wild. Remember it may look weird but surprisingly it has the same taste!

    Huge Stall!

I love the Bariwise products. I too like the wild berry, lemonade, crangrape and pineapple orange. Also from bariatric choice the protidiet fruit drinks are good. Start with the variety pack. If you want something warm the Bariwise hot chocolate with marshmallows is awesome. These products have helped me so much with getting my protein. Good luck!
  21. I drink a lot of the Bariwise and Protidiet drinks. They have the consistency of crystal light and have been a life saver for me. Good luck!

    Drain

I had my drain in until 10 days post op. I slept in a recliner until I had it removed and stayed on pain meds. Take what you need to keep pain under control because if you are in pain you may not feel like sipping. Hang in there.
  23. I'm so sorry. I hope you feel better soon!
  24. Wow that is great. I'm so glad you found relief!
