That is awesome. Do you work out a lot?- my surgery
Everyone is so different. A lot of people throw up because they eat to fast or to big of a bite. Or didnt chew good enough. I am almost 6 months out from gastric bypass and have done real well. You will be able to drink more eventually. Good luck to you all!!- Chapter 1: The Beginning
I will promise you that it is the best life change. You feel in charge and gain self confidence as the scale goes down. I had GBP in Dec. And I have lost 80 pounds so far. I feel so much better. Go for it so you can enjoy life!- Weight loss too slow !
You are going to have stahls . IRS normal. Give your body time to adjust.- Belly button hernia
Oh wow. Tummy tuck to? That would be awesome. I wonder if my doctor can do that. We knew I had one before surgery, but now that the fat is gone, its huge.- Belly button hernia
I had bypass in December and now that I have lost 60 pounds I can see that I have a hernia. Has anyone had to have surgery for this and can tell me about your experience?- The Journey to Awaken the (Th)Inner Me
Push through it will be so worth it. You are going to love taking less or no meds. And dropping those pounds feels awesome. I promise it will all be worth it. Good luck!- For pre-ops who have heard RNY horror stories...
There is going to be horror stories with any procedure. When I got my surgery I was so scared and thought I was going to die during it. It was not bad at all. I was up walking the next morning. I would have been the first night but had a catheter in. I barely used any meds. I have lost 65 pounds and am loving life. Push forward....good luck!- five years coming.
You are going to be a new person and you will love it. It is a long road and not easy but so worth it. Good luck!!- Couple questions from the rny vets
I agree, it is your decision. There are going to be people with complications. Its a big surgery. But the quality of life after wards is the best. I am very happy with mine. It isn't easy, you do have to work at it. Good luck!- Surgery date: 2/19/13 TX
Penny, I was so scared I wanted to back out. But honestly, it really wasn't that bad. The worst part was the gas. And walking helped that. I really felt stupid after I freaked out so much. You will do fine.- how long did you wait to exercise after surgery?
I was told 6 weeks. And I am for sure ready to hit the gym.- I know this is the story forum BUT
Way to go losing 98 pounds!!!- Surgery date: 2/19/13 TX
Geez. You don't weigh that much. But good luck with your surgery. It feels so final once you get that date.- Frustrated
Its a hard situation.....I would for sure tell them what you are feeling. When money is tight for me, I eat oatmeal with protein powder. Or the whole grain cream of wheat . We are the lucky ones to be able to have this tool. A lot of people can't afford it . My surgery was before Christmas so I found everyone was eating all this yummy food and I was on liquids. I was angry, but then decided that I can make this hard for me or not . It has gotten tons easier with time. And the pounds coming off feels great. Good luck!- Nuasea?
I was doing awesome, never had any nausea. But when 5 weeks post op hit, I have been nauseated since. No rhyme or reason.- Question? After you eat does your stomach hurt?
I do not regret the surgery 1 bit. I think I will feel better soon.- HELP! NOT MEETING CALORIE INTAKE
I am six weeks out and haven't hit over 500 calories once. I am constantly nauseated and frustrated.- Salad Anyone?
When did you start eating salad? I am 6 weeks out and would love to eat that.- nauseated!
I had my surgery Dec. 18th. Things were awesome until two weeks ago. I am constantly nauseated. I am barely eating. Even regular drinks make me that way. The zofran is not helping.- Question? After you eat does your stomach hurt?
That sucks. - Down 82lbs 4 months post op!
