Belly button hernia

I had bypass in December and now that I have lost 60 pounds I can see that I have a hernia. Has anyone had to have surgery for this and can tell me about your experience?

I'm shocked it wasn't detected before the surgery. My surgeon fixed mine as part of my RNY. It felt so good to not have that golfball size protrusion any longer. He put in a screen.

I have a girlfriend who had to have one fixed 8 or 9 months post op. The doctor carefully worded the write up and INCLUDED the tummy tuck!! Lucky girl!

Oh wow. Tummy tuck to? That would be awesome. I wonder if my doctor can do that. We knew I had one before surgery, but now that the fat is gone, its huge.
