  1. I never feel hungry or full, am worried that im not eating enough. I dont feel hungry or full does anyone know of a way to gage how much to eat to insure that im not inadvertently starving my body. Help, help, help!
  2. Hey everyone! I absolutely hate the taste of water, so i use crystal light. Is it ok to mix it in with my water everyday or should i take breaks from it? If not any advice to make it taste better? Thanks in advance for your support. [=
  3. Hey guys. Im almost two weeks post op and beginning to think im a weirdo! Lately when I've been drinking i can literally hear and feel the water/protein shakes gliding down my sleeve. Is that normal, because I'm a little freaked out!!
  4. Thanks to everyone who responded. Massindex your comment is actually making me feel bad for having a little apple juice. Im doing everything right, getting all my protein and drinking all my water. If i want to have some apple juice i will. My choices will determine my success and thus far i have made the right ones. Apple juice isn't going to bring me down as your trying to implore.
  5. Thanks debellafunk. I was reading different posts and getting a lil bent out of shape. I def needed the reassurance, its the only thing that gives me energy. Im tired all of the time.
  6. Its no sugar added. Its just something that i like to have a coffee cup full of to have some sweetness. Is that ok?
  7. Im almost two weeks out and am drinking a combination of my 64 oz of water, apple juice, and protein shakes. Alot of people say that you aren't supposed to be drinking it, is that right? It hasnt given me any problems and is sugar free. Thanks in advance for your responses guys. [=
  8. Yes butterbean pressure cookers make meat really soft. For a double whammy you can start the meat in the pressure cooker and finish in the crock pot.
  9. I feel your pain im almost two weeks out and thats how i felt for the first few days. Although it takes longer i would suggest taking about 3-5 mins between bites. That really helped me, you might just be going to fast. Hope that helps, best of luck. [=
  10. I didnt have much pain just tightness. What i usually do is take a dose of my pain med and wait until it has me feeling lovely. Then turn on my side with a pillow under the part of my stomach im resting on. Take deep breaths and try to calm your muscles. For the first few nights i simply laid on my back at a 90 degree angle with pillows under me under me until my incision felt better.
  11. Hello ladies. I just got sleeved a little over a week ago on may 17th. Im a big chested girl at 40d. I havent been able to put on a bra because its really uncomfortable against my incision. Any suggestions??
  12. Peaceful: no complaints doll. My pain meds aren't quite doing it either. I dont have any advice as far as the pain meds go but try talking to your doctor see if you can proceed to the next stage so you can have more of a variety. Stick to your protein shakes if thats all you can stomach. Good luck hun
  13. Peaceful: Your choice wasnt horrible since your stomach was able to handle it. Its hard because you want to eat so bad! I can only suggest switching up the flavors of whatever your being allowed to eat. Unfortunately it is a waiting game with this surgery and you have to wait out this period. Try diff flavored popsicles, diluted juices, etc. I have always struggled with water so what i do to get it all in is bought a huge pitcher filled it with water and bought fruit. I cut up oranges, strawberries, kiwis, and lemon and put them in the pitcher to steep. I found that after letting them sit in the water for a day it gave the water a nice taste. Stay focused on the end goal not the right now. This to shall pass. [= good luck
  14. Shouldnt have wrote protein shakes. Concentrate on your clear liquids. Drink as much as you can and no more than that. As you continue to heal you will build a better tolerance and "appetite " for liquids. I was the same way. Until you can start having some type of food protein should be the farthest from your mind.
  15. Honey calm down, your only one day out. It isnt expected that you get in alot of liquids at this point. Drink as much as you can. If you cant get it all in you just cant. For about the first week or so it will be hard to drink alot. As long as what your drinking is protein shakes dont worry about it. Your not going to be able to drink as much as necessary being just one day out. Take it easy girl and give your body time. See you on the losers bench [=
  16. Thanks guys! I did have a butt before and it was pretty tight might i just add, looking forward to working out to those tapes when i get clearance.
  17. Hi everyone! Im new here. I was just recently sleeved last week on may 17th and havent had my first post op visit yet, but my booty is already gone! With toning exercises is there any way to get it back, or is it gone forever!? *Words of encouragement needed*
  18. Yes, i used the bcbs fep and the process was suprisingly easy. You need to have 3 months of dietitian visits prior to submission, proof that you've been obese(hate that word) for the past two years. You can prove that simply with just regular doctor visist weigh in records. You need the pysh eval as well along with proof that you've tried other diets and failed. You can achieve that simply by having the dietitian record everything you tried. Hope that helps and good luck on your journey.
  19. I was just sleeved may 17th so i haven't had much time. The only people that i wanted there were my mother and uncle. I dont get along well with my family so they weren't included. At this point i dont want to tell anyone, just not ready. I wouldnt suggest keeping it a secret from absolutely everyone but open up ONLY when your ready! For the people that i dont feel comfortable telling i plan on saying my weight loss is due to diet and exercise, which is true. Hope that helps love. [=
