  1. Good morning! :D How is everyone doing on their clears today? I wanted to check in and ask how does one update their ticker? I am having a heck of a time.

"click" on your ticker, from the entry you made above, it should direct you to the site. Look for "edit" button or feature. It should allow you to input current weight.

  2. I have begun to replace the crisp of a cracker with dried edamame, soy nuts, kelp and such - I also found acracker made from pressing hard aged cheddar and baking the fat out of it...7 g protien!

Curious about the pressed aged cheddar cracker? Is this mass marketed or a local product? Sounds delish!

  3. I have been having SF Jello to help get through the days but today is getting to me. I didn't have an appetite at all yesterday, today I could have eat my desk at work!

Oh my gosh.... I have felt the same way today!!! There was a mandatory meeting for one of the groups at my office today. Because it was being held during the lunch hour, they brought in some of the towns best PIZZA!!!! Ooooooh I was held hostage by such incredible aroma! But my liver and I escaped!!!!!

  4. Day 3 and 4 are the hardest days. I had a headache and I was off caffeine for over a month before I started my preop. I was allowed only 3 shakes a day and sf Jello & popsicles. I got no extra's like vegies boo. One thing that seemed to help me (and I swear to you' date=' it helped me the day after surgery and every day since) is Celestrial Seasonings Peppermint Tea (decaff) and Truvia (for those that like Truvia) - I can't handle splenda, aspartamane or any of the other stuff. It seems to calm down the cravings and crampings in the belly. It was literally what I lived on in the hospital.[/quote']

Mina~. It was your post! I couldn't remember where I read it. Although my tea is another brand, I made sure it was Decaf. I did buy several other herbal celestial seasonings flavors. They do help with the cravings. I figured I may like the warmth and it can help me pass postop gas. Thanks for checking in on us. Our final week countdown has begun.

  5. Day 4- of Preop diet here, w/ a mild headache this am. I cut out caffine and soft drinks about two weeks ago. I like the shakes I've chosen, so far. Getting all the required Water in hasn't been bad, I kinda crave it now. But wow the ketosis mouth is a bit funky. I'm trying not to depend on gum or mints, because they are discouraged post op. I brush a lot and keep sipping water.

    Good luck everyone!

  6. Just checking in... How are all the June 25th sleevers doing? Many of us just started the Preop diet, some on a good stride with it.

So far, so good. But wow, it is mind game w me for sure! I've had to avoid the break room today. I work in a medical office and someone brought in catered lunch!!!! Ouch! That was hard!

When my husband asked how I was doing today, I told him that so far I hadn't eaten any children, small pets or "the ice cream man". But I bet I'll tear up a SF Popsicle or some SF Jello tonight ;).

Getting in required foods and liquids, no splurges. But OMG I feel like I have to go urinate every hour!!! LOL! I'm like a little kid doing the peepee dance in the hall. I'll just take all those extra steps and add them into my days activity ;)

Hope you're all well and having a good day.

  7. Hi Everyone! I am 45 y/o, married to a wonderful man and have a terrific daughter. I have 3 fur babies (cats). I started my 2 week preop diet today (so far so good). My surgery is scheduled for 6/25. Trying to keep busy to distract me from food temptations and pre-surgery jitters. Never thought I'd say that it may be good that I work full time, so that I have something that requires my focus and attention. Good luck to everyone working towards their goals!
