Oh geez. Everybody just stop. Rollargrl was just looking for support but instead she felt she got something else and it hurt her to be asked why any doc would give her surgery.

Don't question someone's decision for surgery. Just support them. That's what this is about.

I googled what I would have to weigh to have a bmi of 55. I would have to weigh 330 freaking pounds. Congrats to rollargrl for wanting to do something now before it gets too out of hand !!!!! The surgery is actually more safe at your weight.

Big frank had to go on a month long pre op because he was so huge. They do this to decrease the fat around your organs so they can see what the hell they are doing in there. It's way more risky and difficult for the surgeon when your bmi is so high.

I was at 30.8 bmi. That's still considered obese. Do your research people.

I had lower BMI too when I was sleeved. I support you.

I can eat anything I want just smaller portions and I dont have to worry or gain weight. I'm 2 years and 3 months out. Best thing I've ever done. I feel like I'm finally safe inside somebody else's wonderful body.

Going in 2moro for my 3 week post op Tummy Tuck. I feel really good. Swelling is going down well. Although recovery was very tough for me the first 5 days it was well worth it. It feels amazing. I would recommend it to everyone with lose skin in the tummy.

I'm 41 years old and every time my shirt would ride up I would be quick to pull it down. It feels amazing that I don't have to worry about that anymore. It's been over 20 years since I've had that feeling.

I hated eating for almost 2 years. But something has changed now and it's not like that anymore. It does change. It does get better.

Yay my sister just got sleeved hours ago. She finally jumped on board. She is in Tijuana and just got sleeved by Fernando Garcia. She is raving about the doctor, nursing staff, and hospital! Great experience so far!

I was sleeved 2 years and 3 months ago in Mexico. Everyone thought i was nuts too but now My sis is there now getting hers.

I'm two weeks out and down 21 lbs. already! I feel great ...still on liquid only diet, though. No vomiting and NO HUNGER!!!
It does hurt if I drink too quickly, but I think in time I'll learn my limits better.
My biggest comment would be that the sleeve removes the part of the stomach that produces hungry (ghrelin hormone) vs. the band that does not.
