  1. Had anyone starting to have gallbladder issues/stones? I'm beginning to think they're starting with me :-(
  2. Finally hit ONEderland yesterday so I'm officially over half-way to goal!! One month before surgery: 4 months after surgery: (I have a kazoo in my mouth. I was kazoo'ing "Happy Birthday" to my friend while she was taking the photo!)
  3. Finally hit ONEderland yesterday!!! I hope all of my sleeve twins are doing well. One month before surgery: 4 months after surgery: (I have a kazoo in my mouth. I was kazoo'ing "Happy Birthday" to my friend while she was taking the photo!) And I'll be on an airplane next month for the first time since surgery. I'm scared, nervous, apprehensive, excited, and all of those other emotions - but not about the flight. I can't wait to see how well I fit (or don't ?!?!?) in the seat now!!!
  4. I'm in a stall, myself, right now. I'm sure the sweet tea & Chai Lattes have NOTHING to do with that. But I'm learning my lesson. These things are not conducive to weight loss but more like weight maintenance. Therefore, they need to be put back on the no-no list until the other 50 lbs come off. Sigh.
  5. You can also get them at: http://www.laurenshope.com Mine has this engraved: GASTRIC SLEEVE NO BLIND NG TUBE NO NSAID/ASPARTAME (I added "aspartame" since I'm allergic to it)
  6. You're doing great!!! Keep up the good work. Congrats!!!
  7. She's unhappy about the stall. The stall that we ALL hit. The stall that EVERYONE complains about. The stall that EVERYONE who has been through it says it will be over soon. The stall that we've all said will happen & posted advice about that you shouldn't weigh yourself every day because you'll get frustrated. The stall that we've all encountered, posted about, and suggested that you should also be measuring yourself because you still lose inches when your body is rebelling against the major trauma it just went through. Stay off the scales, people. You're not doing your psyche any favors by getting frustrated on a daily or weekly basis.
  8. Just to clarify: the loss of the appendectomy patient was in 2009. This is now 2012/2013 & he has performed SEVERAL HUNDRED WL surgeries since then with NO loss of life. I understand your concerns but hope you'll both reconsider. I could not have had a better surgery or follow-up experience.
  9. You mean CSI: Miami?
  10. Me? Thanks so much!!! It's been fun to watch the changes. And experience the NSVs.
  11. Ok, here are mine: Approx 250 on 6/7/12 212 on 12/31/12 I was 243 on surgery day (10/15/12) I'm @ 208 today (1/12/13)
  12. Wow! Look at you!! The change is very noticeable. Have you been taking measurements? That's how I am able to prove to myself that I'm getting smaller when I can't see it for myself. Congrats & keep on keepin' on!!
  13. Oct 1 - start of pre-op diet: 254 Oct 15 - surgery day: 243.2 Jan 2 - today: 212.6 41.4 lbs lost in 11 weeks 3.75 lb avg loss per week!
  14. Not sure where the OPs WLS openings started but my 3 scars are at, & even with, my navel. My surgeon did that so they would be "removed" if I choose to have a tummy tuck later.
  15. Holy crap!! Look at you!! I bet you feel FANTASTIC!!! You are such an inspiration.
  16. I just had the sleeve done in October and now have a friend interested in WLS but he wants to have the band because he doesn't want to have anything cut inside. Having read all the horror stories about bands slipping, eroding, etc. I want to be able to talk him out of getting the band and going with the sleeve. Any suggestions???
  17. Not a "Before & After" but a pretty cool NSV: a LARGE hockey jersey actually fits over my hips! Whoop Whoop!!
  18. That's precisely what happened to me on all those other weight loss attempts. This time it's different because I know I'm going to keep losing. Now, when I get a compliment, in the back of my mind I'm thinking: "You ain't seen nuthin' yet!" :-)
  19. Same for me... HW: 254 SW: 243.2 (10/15/12) CW: 221 (12/2/12) 33 lbs lost since start of pre-op diet (10/1/12)
  20. Alex, The app works fine on my iPhone 5 but has gotten less responsive on my iPad 2. Many of the command "buttons" are no longer working (aren't responding to touch). Sometimes they work when I switch from landscape to portrait mode.
  21. There are lots of companies out there from which to order one. I ordered mine from Lauren's Hope. My PA suggested this for the tag: GASTRIC SLEEVE NO BLIND NG TUBE NO NSAIDS (I also added no aspartame as I am allergic to it)
