Which Dr. Did You Pick. Why? Why Not The Others?
After speaking with Dr. Kelly on the phone, I was immediately comfortable. I was sleeved last thursday and I could not have been happier with my decision. He makes you feel like family. I was sleeved the same day as Cathy and I also wish I was back there visiting with them

Coffee- Decaf. K-Cups?
I get the Donut Shop decaf. I am afraid it is not bold, though. I have switched to peppermint tea since surgery. I even have k-cups for it.

Applebees
I was sleeved last Thursday. That very Saturday night, a big group of us went out for a 4 hour meal with the Dr. I had a great time and ate nothing! Just a little broth. I was seated next to the Dr. and he had me smell everything, it was kind of funny. I had no desire to eat, but I have a really strong desire to go back to that restaurant when I can eat!

Did Anyone Schedule Without A Coordinator? Is It Necessary?
I am here in TJ, having been sleeved by Dr. Kelly yesterday. He really is a wonderful, kind and caring man as well as a top notch surgeon. In answer to the site seeing comments. His assistant Omar is as great as he is. He will happily take you to see whatever you want. Even the bull fights and he can't stand them. He is practically a concierge and does so with a smile on his face. He is always available to answer any question you have.

Started My Preop Diet Today Given To Me By My Doctor
Or Crystal Light a lot of people use. Or they go to Starbucks and buy a bottle of their sugar free syrups. I started today also, but clear liquid only. It is really hard. I am not exactly hungry, just so tired.

Just Starting (Part 2)
In regard to your comment about eating the way you would after surgery, you would lose the weight. Really, I think all of us can lose some weight, maybe not all, but we can. The question is maintenance. The sleeve is a tool that will allow you to eat this way and not suffer. I don't see how anyone could eat the way we will after surgery without (or diet pills, but that is another story and not a healthy one.) Read around this site, their are people that are much better at putting things in writing than I am. They can explain why this is NOT the easy way out. There is nothing easy about this. Except, maybe the decision to do it in the first place. Good luck with your journey, read around this forum and whatever else you can. Use the search function on this site, most questions have been asked before, but I find the community here is so giving that if you ask it again, someone will always take the time to answer you.

Getting Sleeved With Low Bmi...any Risks?
I have a similar BMI and I am being sleeved in Mexico on Thursday. I have tried every diet known to man, I work out like a maniac and still cannot get to a comfortable weight. The only time I did was when I ate very little on diet pills. That was not maintainable, I feel that with the sleeve I will be able to get to and maintain a more comfortable weight.
