  1. It so good. Scrambled egg with a small amount of shredded cheese & 1 tablespoon if cottage cheese didn't sit well or at all! First time getting sick. Not eating eggs again!!
  2. Well the scrambled egg with a small amount of shredded cheese & tablespoon of cottage cheese didn't sit well. Instant pain after eating it ( not sure if I ate too fast?), a little came back up (tmi sorry). Any ideas?
  3. Plan on doing some refried beans/cheese tomorrow...actually been craving it:)
  4. Thank you all. I'm not cleared for meat until the day after Christmas however my NUT said a day before wouldn't hurt as long as it was super moist..nothing dry. Mashed potatoes sounds good with some gravy (not sure what the protein level would be). Thank you for the link; MUCH appreciated!
  5. I too went to a Center for Excellence and my surgeon/NUT is conservative. Day 17 (tomorrow), I get to advance to the "creamy" stage...tired if shakes (I use unjury), and really want something more. Feeling great, walking and getting around terrific! -20 since I've begun this journey. No pre-op diet required.
  6. Tomorrow I am happy to announce that I move to the creamy stage...any suggestions would be welcomed! Looking forward to scrambled eggs with shredded cheese, cottage cheese and Greek yogurt but need other suggestions. Really tired of the full-liquid stage:( Post-op day 16 today. I've lost a total of 20lbs since I've started this journey. Thanks to all!!
  7. What type of crackers would you use for the dip?
  8. Cottage cheese with cantaloupe! YUMMY!
  9. Me too. Moving onto the "Creamy" stage tomorrow. Looking forward to scrambled eggs with shredded agrees, yogurt, cottage cheese. Any suggestions would be welcomed. I am post-op day 16. Thank you!
  10. Any suggestions for the "Creamy" stage? I move onto that tomorrow. Looking forward to some scrambled eggs with shredded cheese, yogurt, cottage cheese but would welcome any suggestions. Tired if this full liquid stage already. I'm post-op day 16. Thank you in advance!
  11. I had that also Atlanta Red, it goes away. I think everything is in an uproar but it goes away soon. Small sips is the ticket.
  12. THANK YOU Gamegirl! I've been sticking to the same things for the past 15 days and I'm growing weary.... Thursday I'm on to mushies!
  13. Oh dear Lord! Who was your surgeon? I'm so sorry to hear you've gone through all this. Keeping you in my thoughts & prayers kiddo!
  14. We're family here! Glad your doing better:)
  15. Love all these posts, makes me anxious to move out of the full-liquid stage (this Thursday)..can anyone tell me if broccoli cheese soup 98% fat free mixed with milk 2% is alright to have 1/2 C.?
  16. Andrew hoping your better now. We are all sending prayers & well wishes. God bless!
  17. Wow you look terrific! Keep up the good work!
  18. Your so early post-op give yourself some time you'll feel better everyday. Keep walking, keep sipping.
  19. I agree with pcindy...try an alternative way to cope with your anxiety. I spent over 20 years in the operating room and I can tell you you MUST come clean with the drugs. Good luck
  20. I work in an office and although my doc has me off until Jan 6th, I'm going in for a meeting tomorrow and catching up. Feel alright.
  21. Oh no!! Sorry to hear about this. Keep us posted and we wish you well!
  22. Always start with protein..rule #1. I was told to stay away from eking calories: popcorn, chips, junk snacks. ( popcorn is my ultimate favorite )... When all is said & done (recovery wise), 65 GMS protein a day. That's my doctors recommendation. Currently I'm post-op day 12 and will be on liquids until this Thursday so my protein level is at 40GMS..will move up slowly. Everyone's physician has a different program buts that's mine and I went to a Center for Excellence. Hope this helps?
  23. Good luck Atlanta Res your going to do super!! Take Gas X strips, and walk, walk, walk! See you on the other side kiddo!
  24. I had this also and it does go away. Try not to suck in air while sipping. I'm post-op day 11 and all is good now. Had a hernia repair as well. Hang in there and keep sipping.
