  1. Mine told me the same thing.
  2. My first day on puréed food. I had mashed potatoes and applesauce.
  3. No pain. You'll be sedated and won't remember a thing. They'll slip a tube and camera down your throat into tummy to check it all out, takes only about 10-15 minutes. I think I was only at hospital a little over an hour total. You will have to have someone drive you home,
  4. My surgeon said to stay away from tanning beds.. Tanning can cause your skin to loose elasticity.
  5. I'm 7 days post op and still spending most nights in the recliner.
  6. I'm 5'2 at my heaviest I was 354. Lost some over the years and today, I'm 6 days post op and 264. That's almost 100lbs and I have no sagging skin yet. I know with another 100 lbs it will be inevitable and with my shape it will all be lower body. Right now I'm not worrying about that, will deal with or when the time comes!
  7. Is it whey protein isolate? The isolate should help with lactose intolerance. If its straight whey I can imagine it would be a problem.
  8. As long as they are solid gold or silver they can be sized by a jeweler. Sometimes hard to find one who does silver work but they are out there. My fingers are always the first thing to shrink!
  9. I'm not even at a month, preop liquids started oct 30 and surgery nov 9th.... Down from 287.9 to 264.4=23.5 lbs in 2 weeks and 1 day!
  10. My surgeon allowed only water prepping but skim milk allowed post op.
  11. My fitness pal is great. You can do it online or from phone ap.
  12. You can cut the carbs and increase the fiber by breading in pulverized fiber one cereal, the original twiggy kind instead of the corn flakes.
  13. Wow, I was banded on the 9th and am on liquids for 2 weeks, no mushies for me until the day after Thanksgiving!
  14. I had the same and it was repaired at the same time as the band was placed last Friday.
  15. I live Nectar brand, lots of flavors including fruit. The cookies and cream is great. You can order a sample pack of 10 flavors from their website.
  16. I couldn't stomach straight broth either. I found low sodium bouillon cubes were much better!
  17. Is your dr out of network? That would cause a lesser level of benefit to be available.
  18. My surgery is Friday and my instructions say liquids for 2 weeks then mushies/puréed for 2 weeks.
  19. My employer for insurance purposes tests for nicotine yearly and they do it with this thing you have to hold in your mouth for a few minutes
  20. I'm making these as we speak. I so hope they are good!
  21. MU nutritionist says 60 grams; she also warned about more than about 25 grans at a time saying the body can't absorb/process anymore than that at once.
  22. My insurance requires 6 month supervised diet and my surgeon schedules EGD between visits #5 and #6.
  23. There are about 15 ladies at work that are at various stages of the lap band process.. We are setting up a clothing exchange.
