  1. Me! Im near Mt Dandenong I had my op on 20/4 and am 10kg down 4 weeks post!
  2. My surgeon calls this the "Eating squeeze". I dont know "how small" my sleeve is but my stomach goes into spasam when I eat food which dramatically restricts the amount of food I can eat (I can eat 2 small forks of soft egg currently). But my surgeon said as I heal that the "eating squeeze" will go. He said most cases it take 1-3 months, but is not unusual for that to go on longer
  3. Just popping in to say hello! I am just at the very begining of my journey. I had an "ah ha" moment at the end of last year and decided its time to do something. My specalists have suggested weight loss surgery before but I wasnt ready. As of Monday (when the Dr office opens), I am calling and booking myself an appointment. There is a little bump in the road of financing the surgery, but there are a few options so hopefully 1 of them is suitable A bit about me I am a Mum of 2 boys (1 and 3) from Australia. I have battled with my weight most of my adult life. My weight started to get out of control after I had surgery to remove thyroid cancer. Before then I was "in the normal range". I have tried many things to loose weight and most actually end in me gaining. Most recently I have discovered if I go low carb I can loose weight, but I get hungery and then cheat. I am hoping this surgery can be used as a tool to support me through my weight loss journey. I have done OK by myself, but I need a bit more help. At my heaivest I was 126kg (278lb) 6 weeks post birth of my second and have lost 21kg (46lb) to date "on my own" via a combination of low carb and Optifast. Ideally I would like to get down to 60kg (132lb). So 45kg (99lb) to go
