The dreaded BM talk
I just take 2 fiber gummies and 1 colace (stool softener) a day and it keeps me regular. Does Not cause cramping.

The pre-op diet is killing me bathroom wise
I didn't have this problem mine is the opposite. The protein shakes really constipate me instead.

Very nervous for my first fill
Mine doesn't hurt just feel a tiny needle prick its no worse than giving blood or something to me. My doctor does not numb before he does it and has me lay on the bed and if he has trouble feeling the port will have me do a small crunch to make it easier to find.

Popcorn
I also use an air popper and love popcorn on occasion

Significant loss with no fills
I have only 1cc in my band and I've lost 100 pounds since may 2012 and actually I've spent over half that time with only .5cc. I've got a small amount of fluid and I'm happy the way it is. I also have the plication with mine though so I don't know if that has anything to do with it.

SO CONFUSED. Doctors...Procedures..oh my!!!
Maybe my doctor is different but I see him everytime I go up there. He is the one who does my fills even. I prefer it that way personally.

did the pre-op or post op diet give you any bathroom problems?
No I did not have "the runs" on either pre op or post op liquid diet.

Lap band + plication
Yes I had band with plication in may 2012 and have lost 100 pounds since so I'm very happy with it. :-)

how fast is too fast??
- Egd tomorrow
I didn't had a egd all I had was bloodwork. I didn't even have to see a psychiatrist like most people do. I guess I got lucky there.- What is the procedure for first visit?
My first visit was just talking to the doctor and going over medical history I didn't have to put on any gown for any exam. He listened to my heart and that was all he did as far as exam.- Lapband failure / waste of time and money
You can gain weight from being too tight because you are having to eat slider food which could be bad for you. I also think maybe try a slight unfill. Maybe you will be surprised and it will help. I had lap band with plication and I only have 1cc in my band total and its enough for me. I know everyone is different though.- THIS LIQUID DIET IS REALLY KICKING ME IN THE A**!
I didn't get headaches was just hungry constantly. I drank a lot of vitamin water zero. I also ate a lot of sugar free Popsicles and jello.- blenders etc
I use the blender bottle to mix my protein shakes so I can blend them on the go.- To count calories or not to count?????
I've never counted my calories and I've been extremely successful. It depends on the person I guess. I've lost a total of 101 so far and I was banded on may 24, 2012.- Gummy or Chewable
I take kids flinstones vitamins. It was recommended by my doctor he also wrote me a prescription to a compounding pharmacy to put b12 and folic acid into a pill that dissolves under my tongue. Surprisingly my prescription insurance covers that 100 percent.- How long have you had the band?
I've had my band 7 months and I'm extremely happy with it. I've gotten my life back. Before it I couldn't even walk 1 block without my back killing me. Now I'm doing some jogging and realizing I'm enjoying it- HAVE ANY OF YOU BANDSTERS EVER HAD A PROBLEM WITH BLOOD CLOTS AFTER SURGERY?
Yep I got a clot in my leg. I later found out I have a clotting gene called factor 5 Leiden that means I clog easier though. My clot showed up a week after surgery.- So upset....
I don't eat bread at all for fear of it getting stuck- I have entered a world of constipation
I take both gummy fiber and stool softener daily to keep things moving especially since I'm on Coumadin so I cannot have anything with vitamin k which means no green veggies.- Did anyone start with a BMI in the 50's? What were your results?
Yes I started with a BMI of 54 and now I'm down go a BMI of 32 and still losing :-)- Gallstone Problems, Anyone Else After Surgery?
Yes weight loss can cause gallstones unfortunately.- Gallstone Problems, Anyone Else After Surgery?
Yes I had to get my gallbladder removed 5 months after my lap band because I had gallstones. I never had any problems before that. - Egd tomorrow
