    Vitamins?

Multi Vit, Vit D, Calcium Citrate, B12, and a PPI every day. Im cleared for pills, but I love my chewables lol! It's like little pieces of candy for me! I really like the taste of mine and continue to buy chewy's!
  2. Well the DFW people need to plan something now! And make it way cooler since we got ditched my the Houstonians lol... Or just crash their party!

    Approved but now NOT SURE

I won't try to speak to that because I can't, but that topic has come up many times and i'm sure there are some other people that can talk you through the children part. Just imagine how much more active of a parent you could be and how much longer they will have you in their lives for.

That's the only reason I did the surgery! All of my tests, cholesterol, sugar, blood pressure was all fine. I have never had a single medicine or Dr. tell me I should go on a medicine for and obesity related disease. I was just sick of being 26 and 385 lbs! I tried dieting and it never worked. I did this surgery 100% so I could look in the mirror and be happy, I wanted the attention from the pretty girls, I didn't want to be judged, and I wanted to wear designer clothes again. I did this surgery for every superficial reason in the book and not one health related reason. I worked out everyday before surgery, I would do 5mi on the elliptical and lift weights, but deep down I hated the guy in the mirror. Now I'm 7 weeks post op, never had a complication, feel amazing, and am starting to get the attention from ladies. So i guess what I'm trying to say is there is no wrong reason to get the surgery in my mind. I am the happiest I have been in years, I got a whole new level of confidence, and it is only going to keep getting better. Do the surgery, it's a life changer I was sleeved 10/22, my before and afters on my profile are why I did it, and im only 7 weeks out like I said.
  6. I just hopped on the scale this morning and I am down 83lbs from my highest in July and I'm down 43lbs from my surgery day (10/22/12) I just got off another nasty 2 week stall where I gained 3lbs and thankfully the weight is falling off again! I'm striving for 100lbs by the new year but my realistic goal is 90lbs by NYE
  7. haha, yeah the attention difference is crazy. But dosent bother me because I enjoy the attention now!
  8. I'm 7 weeks post op in the DFW area! I had mine done by Dr. Kim at Trophy Club and had an awesome experience with no complications.
  9. Hey fellow October sleevers! I'm so glad to hear that everyone is doing so well! This surgery has been amazing for me and I am so incredibly happy that i did it! My date was 10/22. First consult-> 385 DOS-> 345 Today-> 304 Down 81 lbs since 4th of July and 41 since surgery! I'm in the gym 90 min a day 6-7 days a week and I love it! Keep up the great work y'all!
  10. As Dr. Dre once said... The party's goin on! Thank God it's Friday!

  11. I bought a pair of nice Nike running shoes and then went to Walmart and bought the nice Dr. Scholls inserts. I have wide feet too, and my feet have shrunk a ton and now all of my shoes are stretched out and don't fit right so keep that in mind when shopping! The inserts I got were $50ish and I stood on a balance machine and it told me exactly which ones I should buy. I have been extremely happy with that combo. My knee and ankle pain is much better now!

    Time off work

I took two weeks off as well. I was home and weak during week one, week two I flew to Las Vegas and walked all day at the SEMA show and cruzed the strip most days and nights. Eating and drinking is super important to follow but my energy and pain was fine after week 1. I never took pain killers once I left the hospital. It all depends how your body handles the surgery, but good luck!
  13. Haha! I'm just worried about the bright white dome because I'm tan
  14. We all lose at different rates, and I was an athlete all the way through college. I really let things get out of control the last 4 years, but the high protein and gym were like riding a bike I snapped right back into it. As for your diet/cals eat in the 600s too. I do shakes only after hard weight lifting days. My diet it mainly chicken, fish, turkey, cheese, and eggs. For starches or carbs I never eat enriched bleached flour (it would be the first ingredient) and I try to burn 600-700 cals 6 days a week in cardio plus I do 5 days of weights.
  15. I always tell everyone no to worry about the scale but after 2.5 weeks if no weight loss I was starting to second guess my own advice! The last two days I started eating whole wheat crackers and oats and upped my calories a bit and peace out stall! I lost 7 lbs in the last 2 days! I still made it to the gym everyday and I am loving life so much more these days! Every time I walk past a mirror I smile! Haven't said that in years haha
  16. Thanks! Today marked halfway to goal! 80 down 80 to go! Gotta get good looking for next summer, Texans love pool parties!
  17. I am 6 weeks out. I was cleared for all foods and activities at 5 weeks. I was told I cannot do any damage at this point but there may still be soreness. I usually start getting tender at the big incision after an hour on the elliptical.
  18. I'm a guy so obviously im in a completely different boat here, but I am semi looking forward to it! I know right? Im 26 and have been balding on top for several years now, but because of my weight I was too afraid to buzz it down. Now I will be slimmer with even less hair and it will be time for a change!
  19. Thanks! Oh the things I would do for some whiskey these days! And ya, I have become addicted to the gym lately. It makes me feel good (in a super shallow way) that I used to be the biggest guy in there and would meander around a bit and try to stay out of peoples way and now I walk in there confident run a mile to warm up, hit the weights, and then hop back on the elliptical. Now when I workout people start convos with me and I have made new friends in there. Sorry to babble, I'm just so darn happy!

    Breaking Stalls!

I have been in a stall for 1.5 weeks and yesterday i had some ritz whole wheat crackers and that's the first time I had carbs that weeny part of another food. I also ate 100 more cals then I usually do and today I was 1.5lbs down from yesterday! I don't know if it was time or the adjustment to my diet but something worked!
  21. Here are mine, I'm 6 weeks out. I have started having this crazy side effect from surgery the last few weeks and I'm not totally sure how to deal with it.... Lady's are actually approaching me, and we have good conversations! Now if only I could shake the old self confidence issues and man up! Lol Keep rocking everyone, y'all look great!

    ...........calories?

I'm happy that I'm struggling! That's almost 3k calorie a week deficit which is almost another lb lost!
  23. Donny

    ...........calories?

At my 1 mo. check-up I was told 90g of carbs and 1000-1200 cals. I struggle to get 600-700 per day! I am really focusing on 70+ grams of protein now that I'm back in the gym
  24. Well today I was cleared to hit the gym and I cannot believe how weak I am now. I am embarrassed to even lift weights at the gym because how weak I got.
