  1. Hi everyone, I just wanted to introduce myself, I am new to this forum. I had Lap Band surgery 1 year ago and found that I need some support from fellow banders. A little about my surgery. I had my surgery with the 1-800-Get-Thin doctors because it was 1. advertised EVERYWHERE and 2. they got me with the fact that they handle all the insurance verification/approval process. Anyways, I had the surgery and everything went successfully but I was disappointed with the lack of follow up and the inability to get the attention I needed from them, I stalled after a couple of months and they weren't helping me loose. A friend recommended Dr. Khan at the Metabolic Clinic & Research Center (www.mcrcenter.com) to me and he has helped me loose another 40lbs since then. Without the switch, I wouldn't have been able to lose more with those get-thin people. Anyways, I feel like I am stalling again and although I am getting all the attention and support I need from my doctor, I guess it isnt the same getting it from people that have gone through the same thing. I want to lose another 20lbs and then I'll be happy. So that's my story, kind of. I look forward to using this site daily to give and get support. :-) Have a great day guys!
