    The Infamous Stall...

Hang in there, I stalled at 48 lbs for 2 weeks and now at 58 pounds...I think it's normal. I helped me to realize this isn't supposed to be an 'overnight' fix, but a journey to getting to a healthy weight and learning new sustainable habits...try to just plan on it taking a year and enjoy the small changes in your day to day life. Just some thoughts that help me, I was sleeved on June 4th.. Good luck with your journey! Dalton
  2. Thank you for posting pics, it's inspirational!

    3 Months, 50 Lbs

Congrats to you!!!! You deserve to feel proud, it's a daily challenge to think long term and make good choices for our "new" bodies.. Keep tooting your own horn, those that love you will understand and cheer you along. I am subjecting my friends and family to the same thing, lol, I wonder at what point I will have to tone it down, Good luck on your journey, Dalton
  4. THANK YOU all so very much! Love the snack idea TLC, and i know what you are talking about tracey, i have done the same "one more little spoon full of pain"...you sure learn quick when you hurt!! lol Maemae, i was put on an antacid when i left hospital, did they not do that for you? That heartburn is awful! Good luck!! thanks again guys, you are such a help,
  5. Thank you sooo much for ya'lls replies! I am supposed to be on creamy soups, jogurt, pudding, applesauce.. and the sf popsicles and jello.. i have lived off of sf popsicles and broth for so long i just cant anymore! lol So i eat a lot of tomato bisque, jogurt, pudding with protein powder added, and I am rebelling just a little and eating cheese. they say at 5 wks i can eat fish and soft foods... so i will see what there version of soft foods are. It's amazing how different each dr is! I wonder at what point most will agree our stomachs are "healed"? I know we have to re-aclimate our tummys to real food, but why the discrepancy? Thank ya'll so much for sharing with me!

    14 Months Post Op

Congrats on your journey!! I aspire to be in your shoes weight-loss wise...
  7. no, but I would tell your doctor....jmho..
  8. Hello! I would love to hear what different folks are "eating" at 4-5 weeks out? I have realized that all Dr's advise differently, and would love to find out what folks are doing, or what they did, if they can remember.. It seems all my local friends have blocked this whole stage out! lol. Thank you so much for your help!
  9. Bigfluffsmom, Glad you posted your question, I look forward to hearing what folks say, thanks!
  10. I feel almost normal now, at 18 days. I am swimming this weekend, right at 3 weeks.. and starting the gym next week. Walking makes me feel fantastic and eases stomach or muscle tension. Drinking the tinyiest of drops of water hurt after surgery for about 5 days. Now drinking first thing in the morning is a little unpleasant, but no more pain. Im 'eating' bisque soups and creamed soups, pudding and jogurts.. all SF and no fruit. at 5 weeks dr says i can eat soft foods. Does anyone know if that includes scallops and fish? I am craving fish since the surgery. What did yall eat at 5 weeks?

    Liquid Preop And Hypoglycemia

Hi! I worry about things too, so completely understand. I was dreading the pre-op, just knew i couldn't do it. I have seen that Dr.'s all have different kinds of pre-op diets, so you will need to get your Dr.'s clearly explained. I email them all the time begging to have something forbidden, like tomato soup! lol I do not know if HG is considered a condition linked to our weight or not, sorry. I know i do well if i avoid lots of carbs. I would ask your Dr. Let me know when you start if you need a cheerleader!

    Liquid Preop And Hypoglycemia

I am on day 5 of my 2 week liquid diet. It has not been fun, BUT it can be done. Drink a lot of atkins shakes (i do 3 a day) that helps fill you up, and a lot of liquids you like ( all SF) and of course broth. I am prone to low sugar too, it seems to regulate if you take in something regularly, and i drink a lot!! Good luck, it' worth hanging in there, I am down 8.5 lbs in 4 days.
