  1. I Leave tomorrow morning for Tijuana. My surgery is with dr ponce de Leon. I'm not so much worried about my surgery per say, but more like being away from my babies so long, my plane crashing (wing falling off, terrorist, etc), and then I'm worried about what he may find when he goes in to remove my band. If I have too much damage, I won't be able to get my sleeve, and if I am able to get my sleeve, I'm scared of complications. I'm going nuts here not to mention I'm having some SERIOUS head hunger now, my pre-op diet is yogurt and water for 3 days (im not the hugest fan of yogurt.... I don't know how some of you have been able to do preop diets for weeks at a time!!
  2. LOL!! I think it was YOUR sister I talked to the other night! she told me that you were coming along! I'm looking forward to meeting you both!
  3. Hi! I am going to dr ponce de Leon for a band-to-sleeve revision on June 15 (I actually will be arriving evening June 14). Just wondering if anybody else thinks they might be out there around then? I do have a sleeve-sister who is getting her surgery on the 14 (looking forward to meeting her! )
  4. I didn't have a passport, but I just got mine! I paid to expedite it and overnight mail for about $220. I got it in less than two weeks!
  5. Ahhh! Thank you! That is super helpful info!
  6. I'm curious, do you have sliming/productive-burping/food "stuck" with the sleeve just like the band? I know you have to eat slow and watch your portions, but I really don't want to go the rest of my life with the same symptoms my band is giving me! I will be grateful for any info you revisions can give me!
  7. Thanks! Is it crazy that I'm kinda excited?! LoL
  8. I just watched videos 1-5!! these are SO COOL! Thank you for sharing! Dr. Ponce de Leon is doing my surgery on June 15th!! I'm getting my lap-band removed and the sleeve done! Do they make these videos for everybody!? I would love to get mine recorded!
  9. Melissa, did you have your revision done all in one procedure?
  10. Does anybody know medications are given after the procedure and how long they have to be taken? I am breastfeeding right now, I plan on pumping and dumping in the hospital, just wondering if it will be ok to resume nursing when I get home. TIA!
  11. It's wondering if anybody has gotten a band-to-sleeve revision by dr. Fernando Garcia?? I'm getting my surgery on June 15!
  12. That does look wonderful!! I'm going to dr Garcia June 15th (arriving the 14th) :-)
  13. Hi! I just joined this forum today! I have been reading for a little while and have found A LOT of great info here! I had a lap-band "installed" July 2008. I did ok for the first four months, went from 221 to 179. Then I got pregnant! :-O I didn't gain a WHOLE lot while pregnant, but gained none-the-less. Not too long after giving birth I started to get "stuck", and it had just gotten worse and worse. I have days now that I can't even drink Water , so now I am planning on getting a sleeve and this "crap-band" (sorry I saw that term on here, and it couldn't be any more perfect!) removed!! I'm 99% sure I will be having my surgery on 6/15/12! Prior to getting my lap-band done, I didn't have to do any pre-op diet. The facilitator for dr. Garcia said I will have to do one this time. I know she will be giving me the specifics soon, but Iwas wondering if anybody had any info they wouldn't mind sharing for the time being also any tips getting through this diet? It sounds challenging! TIA! Jaclyn
