  1. Woke up feeling pretty good. Amazed, that the only thing REALLY hurting, was my wrist were the IV was! Later in the evening, I was a little sore, but more like I had just finished 100 sit ups!
  2. I had my surgery in Cancun! Your in good hands.
  3. I don't use that brand of protein, but you can use a lot of different things to make protein powders taste better. I like to mix mine in the blender with skim milk, bananas, and Torani sugar free syrups. I sometimes use Bolthouse farms, they have a coffee flavored protein drink. It's high in carbs, so don't use too much. Also, I like pure peppermint extract in mine. Makes them taste like a thin mint cookie. Best thing is to experiment until you find what works for you!
  4. Yep, sounds like gallblader! Call your Doctor.
  5. Me too! I hope you get a lot of responses.
  6. Even if your not a people person, it helps to have a work-out buddy. Less boring and it gives you the accountability that you need to stick with it. You don't mind chatting on VSG. Maybe there's someone on here, that lives close enough to buddy up with? I'm in North Mississippi, where are you?
  7. Wish I had thought of that 9 months ago!
  8. I tried your email address, and It wouldn't let me send you a friend request? You can friend me on MFP as Territravel
  9. Oh Yea, throw in some Mexican cheese dip, and It's all over for me!
  10. Your rockin that sleeve, good job!
  11. Take something for gas. If it doesn't stop the pain then it could be your gallbladder. Had mine removed back in Dec. You may want to call your Doctor.
  12. I was married before being sleeved, so maybe I don't qualify to answer this one. Hopefully, he's a nice, sincere man, and not a shallow Hal kind of guy. Get to know him first, let him get to know you, then decide whether to let him in on your weight loss history!
  13. Congrats! Yes, I can see a big difference.
  14. Lol! Yeah, it's gross. When I get the slimes, I have to throw it up. For me, it's like a small ball of food, encased in a mucas substance. It happens when I eat too fast, eat too much, or try and drink to close to eating.
  15. I'm cold all the time now. My husband says he can't sleep, because our bedroom is like a sauna! I remember last year at this time "pre-op", I was always HOT, kept a fan going in every room, and on my desk at work. My only advice is to keep a sweater/jacket with you at all times.
  16. It's true, you will get use to it. I'm nine months out, and if I forget and take a sip of water, my tummy will quickly remind me to stop. You don't want to get the slimes!
  17. Agree! It can only help you. On my way back from Mexico we connected through the Atlanta airport. Luckily we had a two hour connection, because we landed at one concourse, and took off about four concourses away. My family was like " Lets get you a wheelchair." No way, I'm slow, but I'm walking.
  18. Girl, your rockin that sleeve!
  19. I remember feeling light headed the first two/three weeks. It went away when i was able to add some calories and drink more.
  20. Yes! My immunity needs a big boost. Getting over my third cold in three months. I'm taking my vitamins, drinking juice, and if I wash my hands anymore, my skin will fall off. It must have to do with the surgery, but I don't understand why it would. I''m nine months out.
