    tickets

If you purchase non-refundable, at least 21days in advance, you should get the best fares. The closer to departure the more expensive the ticket. Some airlines will charge you extra for the best seats, the ones with the most room. It may be worth paying for.

    You are ROCKIN that sleeve!
  4. Yes, it's normal. Everyone is different, and it varies time and frequency. I'm in a 3 week stall now. The longest one so far. But don't stress, and stay with the program. You know the drill, get your protein, drink your water and exercise. The weight will come off.

    Gall Bladder

Yes, but mine was a sudden attack of pain in the upper tummy, and pressure going around to my back. Also, throwing up for about 8hrs, before deciding to go to the ER. We were out of town for Christmas, and spent our entire trip at the hospital. My surgeon said I was full of gallstones. I've read that losing weight could trigger gallstones, guess it's true!

    RIP Lappy ;(

Dearest Shucky, I am so sorry this happened to you! Praying for good reports from here on. When I first started to look into WLS, I lthought about the Lap Band, but I couldn't get over the fact, that I would have a foreign object in my body. Somehow, the idea of having 80% of my stomach removed, sounded better than the band. It was the best decision for me, and I haven't had a moment of regret! P.S There a ton of great people on this site, hang in there!
  13. Would love to know the answer to this one as well.

    Cancun Questions...

We exchanged some US $$ at the airport, but most everywhere accepted our charge card. And they will accept our currency for tips. They have cash machines that will give you back peso instead of US dollars.

    can anyone help me

I didn't have a lot of pain. Let's just say, not as bad as childbirth, or Gallbladder removal. You will lose weight. Make sure you stick to your Doctors post ops diet, get in your fluids and protein. Start walking, and working out as soon as you can. It will happen!

    My sleeve doesn't like.....

Spaghetti sauce from my lean cuisine sent me running to the bathroom, at work, ugghh! Like PdxMan, Pear skins don't sit well with my sleeve, and almost any kind of bread sits heavy on my tummy. Although I did manage 1/2 a PB&J the other day.

    Dr. Hector Perez in. Cancun?

You'll be glad that you waited until after your cruise. I've been on a few, and the food is so good. No fun watching everyone else enjoy it!

    I'm at a stand still

Most everyone will hit a stall. Just keep with the program. Get in your protein and fluids. In the beginning when i would hit a stall, I would add a few extra calories to my diet. and that always seemed to jump start my weight loss. As soon as the weight was moving again, I would go back to eating fewer calories. Now, I work out a little harder at the gym and that works for me...I think our bodies get accustom to what we're doing, and we need to shake it up a little.

    Dr. Hector Perez in. Cancun?

Dr. Perez did not do my VSG, but he removed my drain, did the barrium check, and released me from the center. I found him well spoken, and I was very comfortable with him. I would have definitely use him!

    Just received a verbal beating...

It's hard, I know. It's just not in "everyone" to be supportive about surgery..I'm lucky, I did not want any negative feedback and decided to only share with a few family members, and they were all supportive. Surround yourself with positive people, and ignore the rest.

    Sleeve complications!

Yes, It couldn't hurt to get another experts opinion. I'm sure there are people on this site that can recommend another Doctor.
