  1. I'm 5'5 and I started with my weight at 240. I was sleeved on Nov 26, 2012,. My current weight is 191.My goal weight is 130. I'd love to be 120-125..... That is the weight I look best at, and what I weighed when I got married.
  2. I had my hiatal hernia repaired as well. I had pain when drinking for the first two weeks, then it just kept getting better, til one day around 3-4 weeks I realized it was gone! Hang in there. It'll go away. If it doesn't start improving, ask Bout it.
  3. I'm a coke addict...... Surgery didn't fix my brain ! but I can't drink any coke cause its way too sweet and carbonated to the point of pain. I wish I could drink some, but then again, it's part of what got me as heavy as I was. It's soooo hard to stop carbonated drinks! I swear, in 20!years, we'll figure out they were secretly filled with some sort of mind altering drug!
  4. BWAHAHAHAHA!!!! That's hilarious! Onemanwolfpack, I'm already feeling like the first 20 seconds of that video and I'm only3 weeks out! Good luck!
  5. I'm glad you told me that. I was thinking I was stretching my sleeve!
  6. My dr. Told me to only drink 1 oz. every fifteen minutes. Why? That takes forever to finish a drink. I can drink faster without pain. O get in most of my fluids of I drink this way. If I drink his way, I'm not even close! Does anyone else drink faster than that? I'm a week out, and I'm feeling pretty good. I don't over do the drinking- I CAN'T Guzzle. Small sips. Thanks for your input.
  7. Thanks every one for all the replies. I feel better about it now.
  8. I'm four days out from surgery and when I swallow I have this feeling like its all getting backed up in my esophagus and then it drains down into my tummy. It's uncomfortable, and I'm wondering if my hiatal hernia repair is the reason for this. Anyone else feel tender when they swallow small sips of clear liquids?
  9. Magnesium citrate works, that's for sure . If it keeps going I'm gonna need first aid on my bum! Did anyone else have to drink a bottle? Geez this is awful! I'm on fire over here!
  10. I got approved end of October and was scheduled about a week after that. My surgery was for end of November.
  11. My surgery is tomorrow as well. Looking forward to it being over. Kinda freaking out!
  12. I'm having surgery tomorrow at 9:30 am. So yeah......... I'm freakin out quite a bit. I'm trying to drink this whole bottle of magnesium citrate and its making me so nauseous. Ugh. Good luck with your surgery.
  13. Are you feeling down as well? I felt like that when I was depressed. Depression sucks every bit of motivation you have. Many people don't realize they're depressed, they think they've just gotten into a rut.
  14. I wouldn't. You'll be able to have alcohol after the surgery 4-6 weeks out. I'm scheduled for the 26th also. The day before surgery it's one Protein shake in the AM, the a bottle of magnesium citrate and clear fluids for the rest of the day. After midnight, nothing at all to drink or eat, not even Water. So I'll be preparing my stuff this weekend for Monday. I think that maybe one glass of wine would be ok, but I wouldn't be slammin' em back or anything. Why risk it? Alcohol dehydrates you anyway, and that would be rough going into surgery, IVbag or not. When Twooley said you need to call your Dr. With questions like that, he was right. He answered your question with a great answer. You got nasty when no one answered you, at first, and then when he told you who you really need to consult, you got nasty with him. He gave the right answer, a caring answer, but its not what you wanted to hear. This is a question for your Doctor, not us. Opinions don't matter in this situation. If you had a hunch that your Dr. Would say 'no' and then decided to ask us if you could have a 'get out of jail free' card to go drinking, you're making a mistake. Just my opinion.
  15. I'm 5'4, and weigh 226. I'd like to get to 125-130. I'm having my sleeve done on 11/26!
  16. OTC means over the counter. :-) loreal has some good ones- try the ones for aging skin, they target wrinkles! And make sure that you use an eye cream for your eye area. If you use face cream in the eye area, it can cause millia, and make your eyes puffy. And not in a good way. Hope that helps! (I'm a makeup artist.)
  17. November 26th!! Yay! I'm in Dallas and my doctor is Dr James Davidson.
  18. Way to go!!!!!! You look great. I hope I'm as successful as you have been. I get sleeved on November 26th.
  19. November 26th with Dr James Davidson.
