  1. Sleeved 11/16 HW: 246lbs Sw: 225lbs Current wt: 146lbs 100lbs lost from highest, 79lbs since surgery. I want to lose another 20lbs. I was at 152lbs for 6 wks then did the sleeve test diet for 5 days. My Iron levels are low. Anybody else with iron deficiency? (blood levels are fine for me)

  5. Hey Laura Ven what calorie tracker are you using?
  6. I'm concerned about this as well. I drink premier or EAS shakes, or V8 daily . They have about 1/4 your daily dose. Salt sense or salt substitute have potassium. Low sodium V8 is higher than regular. Good luck!
  7. Me at highest 245lbs, 5'4 then current at 154lbs. Down 91lbs.
  8. Im a food addict. I think i was/am addicted to finding new foods to taste, the feeling of overeating, the warmth of food etc. I'm 6 months post op now. Ive recently fallen off the wagon a bit& it scares me. I've included a lot if unhealthy foods. I ate fast food 2x this week. No buns, just saturated fats& calories I don't need on my midsection. I started off eating 1 piece of dark chocolate every once in a while to eating the candy that is everywhere around me & now I'm trying to break the habit. the realization that my old friends cheese, carbs, & chocolate are not truly my friends, but a comfort & diversion from real issues. With the sleeve, I at least have some portion control. My food preferences have changed. Pasta& bread hit my stomach like a brick if I have more than a 1/2 oz. thankful for that. i'm more interested in taste& look for healthy alternatives like herbs& spices instead of butter that tastes bland now. thank ja for that.
  9. Lola, the lab/ border collie/ pit? Mix. She's an angel who after a 2 yr search for a dog who could live in an apt& not be loud or destructive. Never barks. My little (lap)rador: 1st pic=1st day home Me& her at after 6months post op Part of the gang, w/Mom's dogs Performing 'Thriller' Adopt! Save a life!
  10. I think MFP makes me hibest& it definitely helps me know what the best food choice is. Today:
  11. It's organic quick cook oatmeal. Nutritionally comparable to steel cut. No added sugar.
  12. I use old Wessex instant with a scoop of chike banana Protein mix& berries. Yum. Never thought if like oatmeal but as a former Carbie it's a treat.
  13. Hahahaha. I think it's a trite & often insincere phrase. I knew another nurse who said it all the time to patients& I know she couldn't remember anything about them later. I understand the phrase is usually well meaning, but people need to be a lil more genuine.
  14. I'm 11/16. Highest wt: 246lbs Wt @ surgery: 226lbs Cw: 156lbs, down 90lbs. 30 to go& I'm sure it'll be the hardest.
  15. May I join?! I'm 6 months out. I think I'm still a disorganized eater. Hope you can see my MFP pics.
  16. Imitrex? Or if you are looking for something over the counter I put salon pas patches on my forehead or face depending on the headache location.
  17. Mission low carb tortillas. I make the cookies with old Wessex oatmeal.
  18. My low carb tortillas have 13 g fiber, 19 carbs tho, 5 G protein. It doesn't say whether its soluble or insoluble fiber. I eat oatmeal sometimes with berries. Or I make oatmeal cookies with applesauce or banana purée & low sugar craisins (10g fiber per 1/4 c). I add these foods into my low carb diet occasionally& try to eat sparingly. But everybody needs to poop.
  19. That sux. But remember to always eat something that has nutritional value.
  20. I had pregnant pickles: 2.5 oz of ham with lite laughing cow rolled around a 1/2 baby pickle.
  21. Hey November sleevers! Great work& congrats!!! HW: 245lbs, 5'4" Sleeved 11/16: wt 225lbs CW: 164lbs. Total loss of ~80 lbs. I feel great. My mom had my jeans I wore in high school on a closet 13 years ago& I can fit a size 12, down from a 24. Had social problems with friends becoming catty towards me. It's odd how much nicer strangers are to me though. I'm really humbled by how the sleeve has helped me. It's the best thing I've done for myself. I aim for 800calories 60+ grams protein& under 50 carbs per day.i can exercise again& sprint with my dog. I want to lose at least 30 lbs more. Thank to everyone on VST who has inspired me& kept me on track.

Love kefir. I like sour so I get pomegranate. It's a good way to get in good bacteria.
