I found out yesterday that Medical Mutual denied the surgery because our policy will only approve if I am more than twice my ideal body weight. THIS information was NOT relayed at the time the doctors office called Medical Mutual asking about coverage. Has this happened to many of you? I am going to appeal....but Medical Mutual did tell me on the phone yesterday that the psych and dietician appoint,ents would be covered because they had originally told the Dr. Office the wrong info. Any thoughts would truly be appreciated. Thank you all so much!!My insurance just changed its policy from 6months Dr prescribed diet to 3 months!!!How did surgery go? Are you feeling ok?How much was your sleeve surgery?
