Lovenox Injections

I also have factor 5 and am on coumadin because I had a pulmonary embolism. I had surgery in June and ended up in ICU for a GI bleed and I believe that it has to do with the Lovenox injectiions I gave myself after surgery. I'm not telling you not to do it, but just be careful and pay close attention. -

Hi Mandy. I have Factor 5 too. Only issues pertained to stopping coumadin prior to surgery, I developed a GI bleed and was placed in ICU for 3 days, but it was due to an ulcer (unknown cause). I think that because I took the blook thinning injections prior to flying home that did not help with the GI bleed. Would you be having surgery here in the states or what's your plan? -
That's awesome! My surgery date was June 26. Pre-surgery weight high was 258, surgery day was 248, & currently I'm at 222! It's definitely not coming off too fast, but its so encouraging to see #'s the same as mine!!! I'm going to be hitting the gym soon to see if I can't get it off just a lil quicker. Hi Beth, I don't know where you are located, but at Family Dollar, Dollar Tree, maybe even Wal-Mart, they have the sugar-free water mix in's by Hawaiian Punch in lot's of different flavors. I love them! Hope that helps! -

Hi Brandy, Our goals are very similiar! I am also 5'10", But I currently weigh 254, my goal is also 170-175. I'm having surgery on June 26! So exciting! Best of luck to you!
