  1. YES, THATS ALSO NORMAL....JUST MAKE SURE YOU TAKE YOUR 'THROW UP BUCKET' WITH WHEREVER YOU GO FOR THE NEXT FEW DAYS BECUSE IT WILL HIT YOU SOONER OR LATER.....MAKE NO MISTAKE!
  2. I mixed apple juice and water together instead of plain ole water. It was room temp too! I've actually hear of people setting an alarm or timer and take a sip every 5 minutes in the beginning just to make sure they dont dehydrate! SIP, SIP, SIP.....IT WILL GET EASIER!!!
  3. Don't worry....you'll wrap your mouth around that big ole burger and olny be able to get 2 bites down if lucky!!!
  4. Every day if not a couple times a day.....I'm so hooked on those darn scales!!!
  5. How often are you excersizing and exact;y what are you doing? What kind of foods are you eating? Mine is coming off a lot slower than I had hoped also! I was even up 2 pounds this morning! UGH! I'm kinda thinking about going to bootcamp OR maybe ordering the Tapped Out or P90X bootcamp workout videos. Up your water and lower your fat and carb intake. Thats all I have to offer....sorry.
  6. That deserves a DOUBLE WOOT WOOT!!!
  7. Why dont you mix it up and get the best of both? Just a thought..... I'm trying to walk every day. I eventually wanna be able to run/jog. Baby steps ya know!!!
  8. hahaha....your such a bad boy!!!
  9. GALL BLADDER ATTACK IS EXTREMLY COMMON AFTER WLS!!!
  10. SOUNDS LIKE GALL BLADDER. GET TO THE DOCTOR!
  11. 62 pounds.....FANTASTIC! Wont be long till your a smokin hot skinny minni!!! YOU GO GIRL!!!
  12. Hey girlie, I'm 2.5 weeks out and pretty sure I can ride although I haven't tried it yet. I live in Houston but I'm originally from Tennessee just about 45-50 miles from the "Dragon Tail". We are hoping to make that trip in the next year or two. Hell, it's a 14.5 hour ride for me to go home to Tennessee in the car so we'll need a good 2 weeks on bikes to see and ride everything I want when we go PLUS visit with all my family!!!
  13. Don't forget to take your Prilosac! That will help with the stomach acid that causes hunger!
  14. Your legs are too far away from your heart to kill ya! Go for it!
  15. I was swallowing my pills whole the day after surgery. I dont have a problem with them at all....even the big "horse sized pills".
  16. HAHAHA....very good description of the Isopure! Too funny!
  17. All liquid counts toward your liquid intake. The Isopure you find on Amazon.com or at GNC would be great if you like it. The grape was the best I found but it leaves a funky aftertaste! You'll have to take tiny sips at first but you'll get better at it and the sips will turn into (almost) a gulp. As far as chugging ice water on a hot day.....I dont know yet. I'm 2.5 weeks out and can take 2-4 good (almost) gulps at a time only. It is unbelievably hard to get the required amount of liquids in after the surgery! Sip, sip, sip!!!
  18. Sounds a little like dumping to me! Dumping syndrome is an effective result of the gastric bypass system which alerts the body of inappropriate eating. Dumping syndrome is described as a shock-like state when small, easily absorbed food particles rapidly dump into the digestive system. This results in a very unpleasant feeling with symptoms such as a cold clammy sweat, pallor, butterflies in the stomach and a pounding pulse. These symptoms may be followed by cramps and diarrhea. This state can last for 30-60 minutes and is quite uncomfortable. That was the clinical description of dumping. Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/36837
  19. Sue the crap outa him! He doesnt need to get ahold of anyone else!!!!!!! I'll keep you in my prayers! I'd also find another doctor!
  20. I found that I did best on 1/2 apple juice and 1/2 water for the first week after surgery. At least it gives you SOME calorie intake and some energy. Keep us posted on your progress!
  21. To clarify, I'm 2.5 weeks out now and I can do about 8oz in 30 minutes if I try. I REALLY have to work on this! I'm not getting enough liquids in....I know I;m not! It's because I cant burp anymore and they fill me up rather quickly I think! I heard someone say to mix up some crystal light and add the flavorless protien. I'm going to try that because I HATE the shakes now! YUCKY!!!!!!!!!!!
  22. Walking will be great for you! I agree with Pooky....get a tote with wheels for your computer and books. I had a 10 pound weight restriction for several weeks after surgery. You should be fine! Don't forget to carry your water bottle with you EVERYWHERE!!!
  23. I'm having the same pain....so what happened with yours? I'm 2.5 week post surgery. It just started this morning. Hurts when I walk or twist. No pain when I sit for the morst part. This pain sounds pretty common as I;m trying to research now.... Just wondering!
  24. I can take 3 good sups and I'm full as a tick! I also CAN NOT BURP anymore!!!! This really affects me in my opinion! I can [ut down 8oz in about 30 minutes...
  25. Holly Cow!!! 10 mimosas would put a rough tough bar brawler down!!!! That girls is doing some serious drinking! .....and she's STILL losing weight? Amazing!
