    Make-Ahead Help

Chili, chili, chili... White chicken chili, regular, turkey... Mmmm. I work 12 hour night shift and I throw all my stuff in the crockpot and take a nap. When I wake up, my house is filled with amazing smells and yummy food. And it's freezable and fridge safe
  2. Oh, Patrick... It's ok- Mexican is my downfall... I would go out right now and down shell-less tacos if I could.... But just start over again tomorrow And just make it a new day

    I Discovered My Krytonite

    Skin Firming Lotion?

I've heard from some Pts, aveno skin firming works good- but it's mostly the rubbing motion that gets things circulating and firming. Scrub with a loofa to get the dead skin cells off, that will let the new stuff out.
  6. I feel the lactose part- most definite...

    Worried, Pus

I'm glad u have an appt tomorrow! I'm sure everything's fine, but better safe than sorry.
  8. There are some foods that's 'shoot through' at an ungodly pace- I guess u can call that dumping, but like I said, it ain't like bypass (thank goodness) or at least not the severity of bypass... (or smell, no offense to bp people)
  9. Puking=not dumping. Dumping usually refers to the shooting of a food into the toilet bowl via bottom. In the bariatric hospital where I work, it is different

    Ding! Ding! Ding!

I could down liquids- eat whole thing of yogurt, have a whole Popsicle... Then mushie food- I hat two baby spoons of tuna, I felt it. Then you know- there it is. I was wondering about my doc too, but boy, I feel it now
  13. It goes kinda to a new normal. But it's an adventure to see what ur sleeve can handle

    The Runs

Dang, now I'm worried to try hummus.... I don't like the runs
  15. I suppose I associate dumping with gastric bypass. That's really different than what sleevers experience. Ours is nothing compared to theirs.

    My Psychological Evaluation

Honesty is best- and if they think ur not ready, it isn't a no... It's a let's help you out, to make you more successful for when u do have surgery

    Back To Work

Yeah- I work on a telemetry floor. They put me in the dreaded monitor room because I can't pick anything (or anyone) up. So, it'll be an easy shift
  19. We, as sleevers, do not experience dumping. But I completely understand the thrill of pooping! Bm's are few and far between for us

Not Sure I Can Do This

Just take it one day at a time. You will do just fine. This is something good that you need, and you will not regret it
  21. On my pre-op diet I went from 273 down to 257 when I got home from the hospital. And I haven't lost any weight since then. I'm averaging about 300 calories a day, I do some walking (about 1/2 mile a day, not much) idk what my body's doing... Rebelling I guess
  22. If say advantage for those who can't til orate protein shakes.... Disadvantage for those who drink protein as a snack. The shakes give you a feeling of substance and eating. That helps with not eating bad junk food

  25. Not common- but if my doc offered it, I'd do it. Those who fear the sleeve stretching- this could help remedy that
