  1. Hi everyone. Just an update. I just got my first fill!! Im 1 month post op and doc said I'm doing well. I'm back on soft foods until Friday. Also, I'm cleared to start working out again. I'm hoping the weight loss and lost inches speeds up once I'm back in the gym!
  2. Just got my first fill!! Just a pinch and it was over. I had to stay and drink some water to be sure I wasn't too tight. I feel more restriction but no problems with the water. I'm back on soft foods until Friday.
  3. My doc said no swimming or baths for a month
  4. I've been at a standstill for 2 weeks. (I'm 1 month post op) Totally normal.
  5. my 1 month appt is tomorrow. will probably get a fill
  6. i count calories. it's been creeping up more this last week (plus i was away on vacation). i'll keep you all posted after my appointment with the doc tomorrow!
  7. i have my 1 month post op appt tomorrow...maybe i will get a fill? i hope so. i feel like i have been able to eat more than i should lately.
  8. Right now my restaurant go to food is soup. I'm only one month out from surgery. I've also tried eggs with varying results.
  9. Ps: there is a section on this site called surgery day stories. I liked reading those so you know what to expect.
  10. You're getting ahead of yourself with the food. I did the same thing and it just drove me nutty. I would stick strictly with your doc or nutritionists plans for at least the first month. Then little by little you can venture into new territory.
  11. Congrats. My 1 month post op appointment is this week. I'm hopeful I've lost more weight. I will also take a pic of myself each month to see the progress.
  12. So true. I'm finally allowed to do more than just walk starting this week. Hope to be in a bikini soon enough lol
  13. I plan on donating to the local women's shelter and/or dressed for success.
  14. I doubt it. I had single incision as well. I think you'll be fine.
  15. Question for you guys: I've gotten 'stuck' a few times on scrambled eggs. It's possible I ate too fast or took big bites, but I'm a little surprised that I got stuck when I haven't had a fill yet. Anyone else go through this? Also, I did eat the eggs in the morning, and I've heard the band in tighter in the morning. I see my doc this week again. I'll be interested to see what he says too. Maybe I don't need a fill yet?
  16. I know what you mean, Bama. I was away last week and definitely found myself making bad choices and snacking when I wasn't necessarily hungry. You just need to get back on track. I'm sure you didn't do too much damage. Just accept it and move on!
  17. Me too banded plication may 29. Congrats on your success!
  18. My doc won't let me do anything other than walking for at least 4 weeks after surgery. Other docs could be different.
  19. I decided I'll get on the scale tomorrow to see if any damage was done! Scared lol
  20. It's still relatively 'new' so check out this link: http://www.stopobesityforlife.com/obesity_surgery/correcting_obesity/procedures/banded_plication_the_newest_weight_loss_procedure/
  21. I stayed 1 night in hospital. At first I was not thrilled to be staying overnight, but it was totally worth it. I was banded on a Tuesday and back to work the next Monday. Luckily overall my recovery wasn't bad. I had SILS (single incision) so only 1 cut in my belly button.
  22. My turning point was day 5. It gets better!
