  1. dont give up! go see your doc. I'm sure youre not the only one in this situation!
  2. I'm in NYC. Banded by Dr Garber in long island in late may.
  3. Totally agree. The little goals help so much along the way!
  4. What you've described is normal. I could barely eat for the first week. By the time I went to my 1 month post op appointment, I felt like I could eat way too much. Everyone here calls it bandster hell.
  5. Yes. It's a mix of sleeve plication with the band. It's still relatively new.
  6. Good luck to you. I'd love to wake up thin. Lol
  7. What kinds of foods are you eating? Anything 'hard' like bread etc?
  8. I went snowboarding 3 weeks after surgery. I would check with your doc just to be safe!
  9. Banded on a Tuesday and went back to work on Monday. It wasn't too bad, but I was tired a little.
  10. I hear you. It's easy to slip back into old habits. Im trying to get back my tracking my food and watching my Protein. I go back end of month for my 2nd fill.
  11. Can you try scrambled eggs? Stick with super soft goods for now as you're still healing. Also, cottage cheese is good. Can you email your doc if you can't get him on the phone?
  12. I had the single incision surgery where there is only a cut in the belly button.
  13. Welcome! I'm from NYC too. I had surgery May 29. Good luck on your journey!
  14. Aww I'm sorry you had to experience that.
  15. Every doc is different. I got a small fill at my 1 month post op appt. I go back again at the end of July.
  16. yes, i totally did this...it's not a good idea, but i'm being honest that yes, i went thru the same thing. i felt like it was my "last hurrah" for the month before suregry. well, i am 5 weeks post op and doing well. it's definitely a mental thing and something i talk about with my therapist. I just wanted you to know you're not alone!
  17. totally normal. just keep sipping water and gatorade so you dont get dehydrated. day 4-5 was the turning point for me!
  18. Congrats! It's exciting. Good luck
  19. I was on my pre op diet over memorial day weekend so I totally understand. It's hard, but it's only 1 day and with some planning you will be ok. Good luck!
  20. What you're feeling is totally normal. I got my band with gastric plication in May. Sometimes I eat things that don't agree with me. Every day is a learning process. Overall I'm feeling pretty good and looking forward to losing more weight. This site has been really helpful for me and it's great support! Good luck.
