  1. Agree w/ the other posters. There is also this unjury chicken soup I bought and ate the week after surgery. It was a powder and you just add hot water. Decent protein and I would just sip it out of a coffee cup.

    Ultimate Goal?

I'm 5'6". I started w/ a bmi of 36.3 and was probably a size 16 (not sure since I was wearing leggings a lot lol). I'm now bmi 23.2 and size 6/8. My original goal was just that I wanted to be a 'normal' bmi. Now that I'm lower, I'd love to get to 135lbs (bmi 21.8). It's crazy for me to imagine being smaller, but we'll see. My brain is still trying to catch up to my body!

    Telling your job

I told no one. I just took a few vacation days to have the actual surgery. Oddly enough, not 1 person said a word to me about weight loss until I had lost over 40lbs! I just said I was exercising more.

    bummed

  6. I've never heard of someone staying 2 nights unless there are complications. I had lapband with plication, so my doc had me stay 1 night instead of going home same day.

    Lap band w/ pllication

I have gotten stuck and PB'd before. Most times it's my own fault for taking too big a bite. It's a learning process!

    Bmi 35

Ps here's a progress pic I recently posted if this helps. I do go to the gym often, but not obsessively. I think genetics plays a big part.
  12. I started w/ bmi of 36.3 and I'm now 23.9. (I'm 14 months post surgery). For me, when I'm out w/ friends I still have eyes that are bigger than my stomach. I have fun and occasionally have some alcohol or a treat, but I try to stay within my daily calorie allotment. Just remember to order the appetizer and not the entree (unless you want to take home a doggy bag)!

    Lumpy near port incision. Normal?

Totally normal. I felt like I had done 1000 sit ups after surgery, but eventually that goes away. My port area was swollen for a while, and as I lost more weight, it became more pronounced. It sort of sticks out now, but not too bad. Eventually I may ask to revise to a low profile port.

    Bmi 35

It's not too bad. I feel 'soft' in areas if that makes sense, but I don't need skin surgery. I wouldn't mind having a tummy tuck eventually but I don't really need it...it would be more of a vanity thing.

    Nice job!

    Bmi 35

I started with a bmi of about 36 and I'm now a normal bmi a year later. I felt like I lost slow and steady. Good luck!

Going in for an unfill ; (

I've been traveling a lot and stressed so I am going next week for a .25 unfill. I've been feeling extremely tight. I think it's normal and I'm hoping it doesn't mean I'll gain weight.

    Time between bites

This is the hardest thing for me even a year after surgery. I will easily get stuck if I take too big a bite or don't eat slowly.
