    4/20/12 Surgeries

FRUSTRADED!!!! Since my surgery on 4/20 I have lost 45 pounds. I am pleased with that but he weight loss has stopped. I had one fill to bring me to 5 ccs in June and due to my progress my DR doesnt think I need another. One month from my last visit and I haven't lost a pound and this is why I am frustrated. I stick to a 30 carb daily maximum and many days I am at 20 carbs per day. I wonder if this is just a plateau and normal or I need anther cc of fill. What is the thought of the group???

    4/20/12 Surgeries

How is everyone? Doing good, losing weight? Any issues.. We are all at the same surgery date.. My last Dr visit I had lost 16 lbs but some of that was due to being sick and didn't eat much that week. Losing weight is very slow currently and staying strictly on low carb diet.

    4/20/12 Surgeries

Going into week 6 and just received my first fill of 3cc for a total of 5ccs. Put on liquids for 2 days, oh joy. My weight had actually stayed the same so I asked for a fill. I don't think my DR agreed but did it anyway. The only episodes I have had have been caused by eating too fast. I also could eat as much as I wanted so the band was doing nothing thus the fill. Will let everyone know how I progress.

    4/20/12 Surgeries

Going into week 4 and do fine eating. I notice when I eat too fast I get very uncomfortable. I am practicing eating slower and waiting to drink after each meal. I get the hiccups every once in awhile during meals and I never used to. Anyone else getting hiccups? All in all doing real good on low carb diet every meal.

    4/20/12 Surgeries

Hey April 20 Banders, how is week 3 going? I have nothing new to report and eating a low carb diet staying mostly with fish, tuna fish and chicken salad. I feel great and the weight is just the same. After going back on fiber everything in the lower track is back to normal. Rocking along until my next visit May 25th.

    4/20/12 Surgeries

I had my surgery on 4/20 also. 1st week was a litte rough but worked anyway. The second week was pretty normal with eating nothing but Protein shakes, eggs and bisque. Third week just beginning and I have eaten fresh fish with no issue. I too have leveled off on the weight loss but not too concerned. I am only eating low carb and staying below 15 carbs a day. There is no restriction with the band and will try more normal food this week. I do have a concern with my bile movements and have started taking my Fiber again to get more regular. Curious to know if anyone is having issues in this department?

    One Year 2Day

This is a great report and congrats. I am on my second week after surgery and doing good. Since my start weight I have lost 35 pounds. Hopefully I will be right with you in a few months and really sticking to the low carb diet even though I can't eat anything yet. Do you restrict carbs or food as your success factor? My doctor s.ays as long as you lose weight then no need for fills. From the surgery I have no idea how many ccs are in my band if any. Any feedback would be great.

Is It Really Bad To Eat Right After A Fill?

Why so many fills? Unless you aren't losing weight, why are people getting so many fills?
