  1. I too had my surgery on 4/24. I am only on liquids and Jello, which I guess is a liquid. I DO miss food. This surgery has opened my eyes to how many food commercials are on TV; I even concentrate on how much the Jersey Shore kids eat! I am not hungry, but that emotional pang (which I denied I had) is still there. I see it this way, I will be able to eat one day. Probably at the end of June. If I didn't have this surgery, at the end of June I'd probably be 5-10 lbs heavier since I was not in control of my food and I would be like "damn, if only I had that surgery life would be different right now." I am 35 with no kids and life is a little easier because I am not around anyone who eats. When your kids are indulging in some pizza and burgers, which they are entitled to, remember that this is just right now. It is not forever. You are learning the healthy approach to food, which you will enjoy again.
  2. when do these gas pangs go away? had surgery on 4/24 and am still a gas bubble. this sucks.
  3. Thank you. Leaving in 1/2 an hour to check in to the hospital. Will keep you all posted.
  4. I am scheduled for my surgery tomorrow and am having a case of the doubts and what ifs. Completely self serving post, I recognize, but can anyone tell me what I am in for as far as pain goes and maybe talk me off the ledge a bit?
