  1. I am really sore by my port and it's turning me off from working out. I can't do a lot of pro g walking even though I have energy. I don't take any pain mess do you think I should?
  2. Me! I'm in the ER because my steri strips are lifting that covers my port. So I freaked out because the incision is opening just a little. So they are putting new steri strips on & sending me on my way. Lol!
  3. My port area is sore but no pain in chest. You possibly have gas did you try gas x?
  4. I am six days post op and I had my follow up today. My doctor told me that I am doing well and that I can move on to the next phases of food as I feel comfortable. I am able to tolerate baby food (pureed) so now I can move forward to soft foods, slowly. From soft I can move on to regular foods as I am comfortable. I can only tolerate tuna and pureed so far today maybe in a few days I am going to try scrambled eggs but I can only eat about 3.5 ounces of food so I'm in no rush to try new foods because I get full really quickly.
  5. I'm six days post op and I'm not hungry at all. Maybe you should call your doctor and see if you can start mushies, like baby food. That might help you. I'm on mushies and I cannot finish a 3.5 ounce container of baby food. I'm loving it! I hope it get better for you.
  6. Went to the doctor today and staples were removed and I can move on to mushies!!
  7. That's wonderful news! You go girl!
  8. I drink premiere shakes from costco w/a lot of ice and it's pretty tolerable. I also bought flavorless protein from Whole Foods to put in my other drinks. Tomorrow is my post-op follow up appointment and so far I have lost 10lbs. I do not have an appetite I have to force myself to drink but I do the best that I can. I hope this last all the way through to my first fill so that I can try to avoid bandster hell as much as possible.
  9. I've never been anything but plus sized so my go al is to shrink out of plus size clothes and never fit ANYTHING plus size again.
  10. I'm doing great how are you? I'm sore at the port site and I still have some gas pains. I try to walk around but i have to walk slowly because the gas pains kind of make me winded but short of breath. I'm not hungry at all so I try to get in my protein and drink as much water as I can to stay hydrated. I hope I never get hungry so I don't have to experience banster hell lol. What's your experience like so far?
  11. I sleep on my right side because my port is on the left. I cannot sleep on my stomach or back too uncomfortable.

I cannot have anything to drink or sip until tomorrow after I have the barium swallow . I'm not hungry just really dry mouth. Congratulations to all those that were banded today, we are finally on the other side!
