  1. Last night I had some fried onion rings. They were so delicious when I was eating them. As soon as I left the restaurant, I started feeling sick. My head was hurting. My stomach felt queasy. I had to come home and sleep it off. I slept until two in the morning. We left the restaurant at 7 PM. Is this dumping syndrome or just plain old sick? This isn't the first time that this is happened after eating something I shouldn't have eaten.

  2. *sigh* I'm feeling down. I lost 11 lbs on my pre op diet and I had lost 14 lbs since surgery. Yay' date=' right? I know! But once I introduced more food-like smooshy foods I actually gained weight. Only 2 lbs so far but it still sucks. I've read that around week 3 lots of people's weight loss changes as their body adjusts. I am trying to keep an open, optimistic outlook but it's hard. I can tell my body is changing. I can see my waist is smaller and my inner thighs and that I have ankles again. But I also am feeling guilty (I think it's guilt) because its hard to get in all my Protein, all my Water, all my Vitamins, and eat smushy foods. Some days I've done good and met my Drs/NUTs minimum of 60 grams of Protein and 38-42oz of Water. But I know they'd like to see me have more of each every day. So I feel like that and the fact that I've tried things I shouldn't (crab meat, over cooked broccoli and carrots in Soup I didn't puree, scrambled eggs, and some spoonfuls of a sweet sugar filled whipped choc mint pie) makes this all my fault and I'm a miserable failure. And I've been walking and taking the stairs but I've only done a handful of sweat inducing cardio workouts since surgery. My husband is telling me that it's only been a couple of weeks, ease up on myself, and that my body is adjusting. I just don't know how to feel. <img src='http://www.bariatricpal.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':(' />

I ate candy, popcorn, a tiny piece of bread. I've chewed gum. We r human. Don't beat yourself up. Just try to do better next time and if you mess up try not to overdo it. I've lost 19 pounds since surgery and the last week....nothing! I'm not stressing. It will come off.

I am having the same issue. I think it's normal that you have a stall now. Ask yourself. Are you eating as much as you were before surgery ? Have you cut back on physical activity? The answer to both of those is probably no. If not, then it is physically impossible to maintain a weight you were maintaining before eating a only a fraction of what you ate before. Give it time. This is designed to work. Just be patient!

  4. Ahi tuna and canned tuna are night and day different. ahi tuna is very moist and basically eaten raw' date=' really high in Protein :-). Hope you pick something yummy, I hate eating out, it seems like a chore and I waste most of the food. We do Japanese and I eat and appetizer and it feeds me for two to three meals.[/quote']

Agreed they are night and day different, but the mind is a powerful thing. The connection is still there mentally.

  5. I have the same question. I heard if I have one I will know, but how soon? I've heard your stomach has limited nerve functioning and u might not feel a rip. I have been eating soft foods. I am 13 days out. I didn't try them until after my 1 week visit and never a lot. Sometimes I feel a bit weird, like a gas pain or a bit of nausea. Soon after it goes away. My just scared now
