  4. I have always wanted to do the Lap Band surgery and was never able to afford it. I am ready now, however, I was diagnosed with lung cancer 2 years ago and I am still undergoing chemo via a daily pill. Can I still do the surgery? Anybody in the same situation? My BMI is 42.6 and also have high blood pressure and I believe that losing weight will help be fight this cancer better. I will have more energy to keep on going. Any comments?
