Good luck to you and don't be discouraged if you have to do the 6 month supervised diet. Many doctors in the United States are now instituting the six month supervised diets, nutritional classes, psychological testings, seminar's, etc. whether or not insurance companies require it. Their reputation is on the line and they want the best outcome. I have gone through it and the time goes by quick. I've been fat a long time and six more months isn't going to kill me and I lost 60 pounds in that time!
If you have to do the six months supervised diet, why not put 100% into it! Go low carb 40-75 - high protein, learn to not drink with your meals, learn to chew your food slowly and thoroughly. It's what this time is for. Surgery is a lot easier on you and more successful if you can start working on behavior modifications in advance.
I suggest signing up for http://myfitnesspal.com and logging in once a day to keep track of your water intake (try to get up to 64 ounces) track your food and calories and exercise. Can't exercise? Neither could I. I stood in place and walked for 5 minutes at a time and tracked it. I finally was able to fit on the Gazelle and could do 5 minutes, now I can do an hour and walk a mile and I haven't had the surgery yet.
The first time I went to a surgeon for WLS, I was became depressed learning about the six month diet. I ended up quitting. Second time I went to another doctor, and I couldn't write it all down, and I ended up getting pneumonia, and kept drinking orange juice and eating pretzels and even lied about what I was eating and quit.
By this time I gained about 60 more pounds for my third stint. This is a lifestyle change, not a diet or an easy-way-out, this is hard work, so I figured I would try working on changing behaviors now.
I wish you the best of luck.

You can also ask your doctor if you can take the Opurity Bariatric Vitamins (the ones for the bypass). They're chewable, you take 1/day, and they only cost $40 for 100 days supply. They also supply your Vitamin D and I think your Vitamin B. It's cheaper than the ones you can get from Walgreens.
It sounds like you've had a tough few days. Feel better, good luck, and keep us all posted!

Sending prayers . I had a pre-op appointment today, and found out that my EKG on April 1 was abnormal (this was after I got the cardiologist release). Next Thursday I meet with the surgeon and we are setting the date probably last week in May so now I have to get this taken care of.
Will keep you in my prayers, that it's nothing but a shadow and keep us posted.

I would try tracking your food again through something like myfitnesspal.com just to see the exact amount of carbs, calories and protein you are consuming. Of course, not following their guidelines for calories & carbs because they are much higher than someone with a sleeve should be eating.
I would start with one 100% Whey Protein Shake at least a day, get rid of the chips and popcorn, croutons add more lean protein.
Work out routines must be varied. If you are used to walking 30 minutes a night at a certain pace, that because part of the norm. It's not "added exercise". The less you weight the more exertion you need.
Besides cardiovascular, try adding weight training, lifting small weights, doing lunges. Muscle weighs more than fat, so it may seem like you are losing slower, but muscle boosts metabolism. Most of all make sure you are consuming your 64 ounces of a water a day.
    Good luck!

Wow! Whew! Take a deep breath! You have a LOT going on here, including complications that you've had to deal with. Your body is going through a tremendous shock and tremendous changes, and everyone is different at this stage. Let me just address MyFitness Pal, though. I, too, log every single bite, and when I reached stalls it was SO beneficial to look at everything and see where I might tweak things. I highly recommend you continue to do this, now and forever. At the same time, the calorie goals set my MFP are for people who are on traditional diets. The unsleeved masses could not comfortably or successfully consume the small number of calories we can consume after surgery. The nutritionist at my bariatric center (of excellence) told me I should be consuming about 800 calories per day, including the 250 I get from my two protein drinks. Right now, you should be highly focussed on water, protein, vitamins, and as much exercise as you can do without injuring yourself or setting yourself back.
After a lifetime of failed dieting, it's easy and natural to feel that once again we are failing. However, this is a game changer, and all the rules are different. Again, take a deep breath, track, relax, and go through the process. It's going to be ok!
