  1. Still waiting for my burst of energy. Don't feel bad but definitely not 100%.
  2. This is VERY helpful to me as I feel a bit lost and floundering. Thanks for taking time to share!

  4. Amazing! An inspiration to us all!
  5. Im in HEAVEN! Doc said I can have deli turkey so I came across Boars Head Jerk Turkey. Tastes just like Jerk Chicken. So delicious! Very spicy so not for everyone!
  6. Hehehe! Confessions! Surgery was 4/24 and it seems the only thing that agrees with me is refried beans!
  7. Please don't worry AT ALL! They put medication for it in your IV. I tend to get nauseous quite a bit and this med worked wonders! You're gonna do GREAT!!!!
  8. Wow! Congratulations! Great job.
  9. So sorry you went through all this. Hope you feel 100% real soon. Said a prayer for you!
  10. Had some refried beans today. About 3 large tablespoons. Immediately followed by sharp upper back pain. Is this an indication of fullness?
  11. Wow! That sounds like a lot. I had 3T of re-fried beans today and was in pain.
  12. Same boat here. I'm 12 days post op and still not 100%.
  13. For me, I'm beginning to differentiate "head hunger" and "true hunger". So far....every time I want to utter the words "I'm starving" I realize, my tummy really isn't all that hungry. Cravings are terrible!!!!
  14. I did from caffeine and sugar withdrawal. Also, when I was borderline dehydrated I got headaches as well. Feel better!
  15. I absolutely, positively do NOT wish I did the LapBand. I'm 11 days post-op. I wouldn't change a thing. That's not to say this is a breeze.....but I'm far more confident in my future success with this procedure. Good luck!
  16. Check my subject from a few days back "Let's talk about toots!" Lots of good advice/support. My gas and poops arrived 6-7 days. It came a day after I bumped up my Water intake and moved around alot more. No worries....what is up...MUST come down!
  17. Good evening! As I'm settling to bed and ready to say my prayers, I am thinking of all the kidness I have been witnessing here on this site (member for 2 wks). I've never 'blogged' before but I have to say... You all TRULY deserve to pat yourselves on the back for all the support you show to the rookies and veterans here. I'm very thankful to all and will include you, as a group, in tonight's prayer! xoxo
  18. This post-op diet varies soooooo much, it seems. I am 8 days post op. I never had to fast two weeks prior. I am on 6 oz Ensure daily with unlimited clear liquids for two weeks. Then two weeks soft foods. Then on to solids. This two weeks is miserable!!!!! I can't imagine if I had to do this two weeks prior to surgery as well. I'd have jumped off the Brooklyn Bridge by now :-p
  19. I am seriously worried what is going on with me. I am the peacemaker among all who know me. I had my sleeve on 4/24 and I am experiencing serious mood swings. I get very anxious and angry, especially at night. My family is scared of me.....like, literally! I thought it was the Oxy they prescribed for pain. I'd take a little at night to help me with the tenderness of tossing and turning. But I had nightmares so I didn't take it since two nights ago. Also, I feel stupid. I can't process a thought and can't complete a sentence at times. Anyone out there with same symptoms?!?!? Thanks for listening. :-/
  20. I hear alot of Gas-X strip users. Once I had a BM my gas released. But that didn't happen til I took in ALOT more Water than I was initially drinking. Your body's circulation works best when you lay on your left side. Do that and curl you knees up a bit. Hope you'll have relief soon.
  21. Beautiful before & after!
  22. Slight discomfort. Not enough to rate it as pain. It's a bit longer in length that I thought so..... It's just an odd, slightly uncomfortable sensation. Over very quickly! You'll be fine :-)
  23. Is it possible your building up muscle weight? I have a feeling you're losing lots of inches and not lots of pounds. Do you have more than 100 lbs to lose? They say the less you need to lose the slower it'll take. Don't be discouraged. You're doing everything right. Be patient! :-)
  24. I very mic appreciate this note and your wisdom! Thanks!
  25. Yayy! I bet you're feeling like a real person, hahaha! Well, almost like you're old self. This liquid diet is tolerable for me but the sensation of chewing is strangely missed! Congrats on your continued success :-)
