    Try different brands they all taste a little different but usually have around 2x protein of regular yogurt. But yes add Protein Powder to anything you want ,I put vanilla cream in coffee for a 25g latte.
  4. Stay the course, is the best advise I was given! Cover the basics, logging EVERYTHING that goes in your mouth on MFP can help. sometimes calories are higher or lower than we think, also that app helps to determine where they are coming from. Take vitamins , calcium is important too, hydrate, exercise, sleep, be kind to yourself put the scale away and weigh weekly while losing and you will see it going down. That said, I heard a rumor that chocolate soft serve ice cream has broken many a stall. Cheat day anyone!!

  6. Early out vitamins were the culprit to the nausea I had for two months and it's very common. Try stopping them for a day or two if things seem better, maybe switching brands or change the timing of your dose can help! But do call your dr.

    Me too, I count it as a blessing. Pasta hurts too thank you Jesus !! Greasy food also makes me nauseous if only ice cream gave a bad reaction a would weigh about 75 lbs these days!
  9. I think if you wake up and realize 85% (or so) of a non diseased major organ was removed and don't ask, what the eff did I do? you probably have much larger issues than your weight! But the people who "this didn't get real for" until post op ... What do you say ? The reality is that it's gone and ain't going to grow back

  11. I am just about a year and a half out and holding around 185 sometimes I still find myself grunting and jerking myself out of a chair like I am still 350 and out of shape. I just laugh and thank god I'm half the man I used to be !!!

  14. Welcome rich. I'm not sure I understand the question or the arithmetic !! Keep sipping Water it's more important in the first days ! Can you call your dr. And get clarification ? I used powdered Protein and less skim milk in it early out, I didn't know they counted towards liquids I was trying to drink 64 oz water and three shakes a day with a new sleeve it was a struggle. Hang in there it gets easier!!!

Greek yougart , cottage cheese with diced avocado and chick peas with a pinch of oregano on r/f triscuits, home cooked lentil beans with diced turkey is high protein&fiber, lean ground beef or ground turkey chili. Any meats slow cooked like chuck steak or BBQ pork butt in a crock pot. And at least one protein drink two on workout days!

    Oh ! That stinks !!! I drank a lot of coke and don't miss it like I thought I would! But if somebody is gonna try to take my coffee they better have more than a medical degree and a scalpel !!
  17. For me it's always the same Exercise, lots of water, food journal- if I bite it I write it !! That makes me accountable to myself and also helps diagnose diet patterns like how I figured out I was eating 1 or 2 too many granola bars. I also weigh and measure ( my eyes lie!) hope that helps .

    Blah blah it's not healthy, it is healthy, stuck in the colon or between your teeth! The telling part is not the popcorn, it's the behavior of rewarding yourself with food !!! Why can't the improved health of going to the gym or some new clothes or spa time be your reward? The fact that you feel you " deserve " some popcorn is scary to me! I had to take a good look at that and make changes there myself !! Good luck to you!

    3 days Post-Op & Cold

    Seems like fat burns at a lower temp than the junk we had been eating before. For about the first year the only place I was warm was the gym or in my bed with footsie pajamas and 3 blankets! But all so worth it,, hang in there it gets better!
