  1. I went without a bra for about a week after surgery. It was a little difficult to put one one & I didn't want to irritate incisions.
  2. Isn't that a great feeling? Congrats!!!
  3. Crazy as it sounds, you might have to up your calorie intake...
  4. Even though you are not a diabetic, your blood sugar can still drop & make you feel that way.I get the shakes & break out in a cold sweat when my sugar drops to fast.
  5. I'm downriver... in Riverview.
  6. I never did, as baby food had to much sugar in it & I WAS a diabetic! I started pureed foods 3 weeks after surgery... scrambled eggs, egg salad & tuna salad with fat free or low fat mayo, cottage cheese, apple sauce...anything I could put in a blender that was fat free & sugar free!
  7. They had me start after my surgery, about the second to third week, if I remember right... When I could chew up foods...
  8. I'm not a human furnace anymore!
  9. I too, have bad knees... as I injured them years ago. I'm almost 11 months out & they are much improved! I still have bad days with them, but nothing like before WLS... I used Tylenol # 3 when the pain is bad. They do make a liquid in that, which in my opinion works better. And I no longer have to use my cane... Good luck!
  10. Last eating is a least a couple of hours before bed... I learned the hard way! I ate once before bed & about a half hour after laying down, I was up wishing I would vomit... It just came up to the throat with that nasty taste & a lot of spitting. Man, did I feel horrible!!! Live & learn. AND... it happened with cough medicine too! So always check on over the counter meds too! So for me, nothing after 9:30pm ish... Light snack or protein shakes...
  11. I was fortunate & didn't have to have a drain! had 4 holes(tiny incisions) & 1 medium incision...

I would up the exercise... I walk, walk, walk... I find any excuse to get out of my chair. I'm 10 & 1/2 months out. Protein is the first thing I eat, then maybe a bite of veggies & fruit. I also use the myfitnesspal.com to track EVERYTHING I eat. You have to be honest with yourself, for the sleeve to work. If I feel I'm eating too much, I have a protein shake for a meal or one of my snacks! Good luck...
  13. Good luck to you all... October is a good month to be sleeved! I had mine done October 26th, 2011 in Michigan. For me, it was the best thing I have ever done! Praying for all of you to have a speedy recovery! I'm 53, married (32 years) I have 4 grown children & 1 granddaughter. My highest weight was 250 lbs. & I'm 5'4"... Everyone at my house eats so much healthier now, because I only cook what I can eat. LOL!!!
  14. Walmart has some control panties I believe they are called Vasserette. They aren't to expensive either. I'm going to try Spanx soon.
  15. Mashed potatoes aren't really good for you, as they are empty calories & high in carbs... now sweet potatoes are good, as long as you don't top them with sugars....
  16. You will probably be fine...just takes time for that Frappe to leave your stomach. I hope you learned sugars are a BIG NO NO!!!
  17. I don't pay attention to what others are eating or doing...it's their lives Just as I wouldn't like them watching or commenting on what I'm eating or doing. If someone comments on how little I eat, I tell them that I had WLS... not afraid to tell the truth. Better than dying, I tell them! Then, if they want the details, I tell them about the surgery. The only thing that bothers me about food is the thought of GREASY or SUGARY foods. Makes my skin crawl... YUCK... but I'm not going to stop anyone from eating it around me. My family does eat better now, because I only cook what I can eat! LOL!!!
  18. Cream of chicken cup a soup was my favorite... & to change it up a little I added garlic powder or Mrs. Dash seasoning.
  19. Egg salad, cottage cheese, cheese...
  20. Lets see if this worked... I need to add updated pics to my gallery.
  21. If you go to my profile I have pics there...I don't know how to put them in a post yet! LOL!!!
