  2. I think I am starting to figure this blogging out. I made all sorts of soups, with my great broth in a box. I realized if I make it ahead of time, the veggies are so soft, that once you put them in your mouth they mush!!! i probably am pushing it a bit, but i am only trying bits and pieces 1 ounce at a time. So fat so good. However, I still for the life of me can not eat cream of wheat..aaahhhh I loved cream of wheat before this, and I am hoping, each time I try it further down the road, my taste buds will accept the taste again. i see my Dr. Tuesday, and will have to ask him about this hard port. i wonder to, if it may have to do with my hernia repair/removal (partial) during surgery. Thanks for helping me.
  3. Hi gottobeme: Thank you for that information. I was really worried. My right side has nothing at all. I didn't realize the port was going to be so painful, and from what I am hearing for a long time. Like you said alien baby. I was trying to rub it carefully hoping to soften the scar tissue. This will be awful if it says like this after the weight lose. Also still very painful. I am so glad you answered my question. Thanks again. )
  4. Hi, I am so confused with the blogging, and grouping, etc. I hope I have the right forum. I had my band April 6, 2012. After reading what you are all saying, now makes me normal for how I am feeling. My main incision is still very sore, like others they did something to as they told me me "massive hernia" wrapping itself around my stomach anyway. I am so glad I went through the surgery, had thoughts of waiting. i would have have never knew. I too am trying little bits of this, and that only cuz my main fear is throwing up at work (desk) that is where I eat my lunch. So I bought 1 oz. containers, in pretty colors, like shot glasses, and put 1 oz cottage cheese, then 1 oz. scrabbled egg, etc. so far so good. After 8 days it is just enough in between to get me to my protein shake w/o feeling sick. We can have cream of wheat, I love cream of wheat. Hmmm, they did say my buds would change, omg i could not eat the cream of wheat, (tear), I will have to wait. Thanx for listening.

  6. Oh my goodness. I thought something was wrong with me. You sound like what I went through. They found a massive hernia when they went in. and I had no idea. My incision is awful painful. Then found out I had an reaction to the glue. i did not stay over, I came home and then went to see my surgeon 3 days later, because I could not swallow w/o being in pain, and heartburn. Long story short. I see my surgeon again on the 23rd of April. But are you able to feel the band? When my incision gets sore or I have a coughing fit, I hold my area, and I can feel a lump. I am hoping it is scar tissue. My sinuses are killing me, and I can not stop coughing. i just want to check. So far in three weeks I have lost 26 pounds. Surgeon said that band was tight, and when i say it, it looked great. Saw little pouch, then a yarn size stream where the fluid ran through. That would be nice if I didn't need fills. lol Hoping.....thanx for listening.

  8. Hi I just had my lap band surgery April 6, 2012. I am now in my 8th day post op, and have already seen my Surgeon. i had a little complication while in surgery, and had some weird things happen after. Anyway, I am so glad I found this support group. I have so many questions. I will be back to read more, but for now I want to venture a little and see what other oldies are saying.
  9. Hi I am new here, but I can relate to momo. i do have some serious questions and I will blog them later.
