Has Anyone Else Had An Unfill Then Refill To Get No Restriction?
Before my salmon incident, with the band, I couldn't eat any breads (unless they were toasted bagel thins). I couldn't have rice or left overs especially chicken. I was also hit or miss with some pastas. Now I am able to have all those things and I can eat a rather large plate before becoming anywhere near satisfied I'm not even close to the restriction I had when I was at 4 cc's before. So I've had to basically do it on my own the last couple of weeks. I'm sorry this is happening to you, too and good luck as well! The lapband sure is a journey of ups downs and learning curves for sure! I was just worried something could be wrong and wondered if this was normal. Sorry you are going through something similar but glad I'm not alone.

Has Anyone Else Had An Unfill Then Refill To Get No Restriction?
I had a complication about 3 weeks ago. I got some salmon stuck and threw up for over 2 hours. My surgeon's office told me to come in right away. He ended up having to take all my Fluid (4.5 cc's) out so I could have a few days to get rid of the inflammation. I was pretty restricted for a few days after because of all the swelling so I'm very glad he chose to take the fluid out. A week later I went back to the office and he put 4 cc's back into my band. Well since then I have basically no restriction. I can eat ANYTHING I want and A LOT of it! It's almost as if I dont' even have the band. When I had 4 cc's before I was pretty close to the green zone and the 4.5 cc's was pretty on the spot if not slightly over filled. I'm really confused that I could go from such great restriction to getting basically the same amount of fluid put back in and get no restriction. I'm back in bandster hell again. I don't go to the Dr. again until the middle of September so I'm not sure if I should go in early or wait it out. Has this ever happened to anyone before to get a "refill" to have it feel like nothing? Of course my mind wanders and I think a slip or something, but he said when I was in that it looked great under floro. Any help would be really appreciated!

I hope it's not a permanent thing and they can fix it soon.

Is Anyone Having Trouble With The App?
I signed in to my LBT app (as I do often) and when I signed in yesterday everything was different. It used to take me to all the newest topics that I hadn't seen since my last visit. Now it's taking me to topics that haven't had responses since 2009 and 2011. There is no particular order to them and the dates are all off. I can't even find where anyone has done any new activity at all. I checked my settings and it's set to find the newest activity. I also deleted the app and re-installed. That didn't do the trick either. Am I the only one experiencing this? Also if this was already a topic sorry for the duplicate as I can't see any new topics. I had to go on the computer to even write this. Thanks for any help! Hope everyone is having an awesome weekend!

Does Everyone Get Stuck?!
You're doing the right thing by chewing your food to mush. I get in trouble when I eat too fast or take too big of bites. I can eat everything mostly except bread (but I can do bagel thins) and rice by itself ( I can have it if very little is mixed with something like veggies) I wasn't getting stuck until this last fill. I have to really watch my bites. I was banded just before you and am at almost the exact weight loss as you are. today was the worst. I reheated salmon and ate too big of a bite and got stuck BAD! Threw up for over 2 hours and had to go in and have my Fluid removed today. Very bummed! It sounds like you're paying much better attention and doing it the right way! My Dr. told me you should never feel your band unless you've done something wrong.(too much too fast wrong foods etc...) Good job on what you're doing!!

Awesome "munchie" Snack
I LOVE them! I dip them in the 35 cal laughing cow wedge. That gives it a tiny bit of protein. So good!

Help! My Co-Works Are Trying To Talk Me Out Of It.
I bet most of them don't have a weight problem. That's my favorite when thin people have all the answers on weight when they've never struggled.

How Many Carbs Is Low Carb? How Much Fat?
My doc has me on 80-100 g oh protein a day and allowed 100 g of carbs but he said the key is blood sugar. Anything higher than 10 g of sugar or 20-25 g of carbs per meal will spike it causing no weight loss so that's what I stay under and I get awesome results but ever persons body is different. Staying at 100 g of carbs per day keeps me from being deprived while still keeping it low.

Potential Problem...
My port scar is a couple inches from where my Dr puts the needle in. The first fill I was puzzled as to why he was so low. He must have had it right since he too takes the fluid out and puts it back in to make sure he's in the right place. They deal with several bands all day long but if you are concerned I would ask them.

When Is Enough?
I've always heard a cup per meal as well until my Dr. told me to throw out the measuring cup and to simply look at my hand. Place it palm side up and fingers together. He said to eat a piece of meat/protein that is the size of my palm and eat veggies the size of my four fingers. He also said to eat the protein first of course then the veggies. So far it's been working for me. I guess it's kind of 6 in o e and a half dozen the other.
