  1. Congrats and glad to hear you are feeling well!
  2. Good luck and well wishes!!!! Let us know how everything goes.
  3. OMG I just posted the exact same thoughts. I'm so nervous and anxious! I know I get my self worked up for nothing but that's me. I read a saying once, that I keep repeating over and over for some comfort, "If you aren't scared of what's ahead of your dreams, then you aren't dreaming big enough"
  4. I suffer from anxiety and over the years have learned to control it without medication. Now that I'm only a month away from surgery, my anxiety has been through the roof! I'm anxious about every minor detail. I'm anxious about being anxious! I keep wondering, what if I have a panic attack, what if I'm an emotional wreck after the surgery, etc. Anyone else suffer from anxiety that has already been banded? Any thoughts?
  5. I had a 6 month waiting period for my insurance, as well. My last appointment is Thursday and surgery is scheduled for May (keeping fingers crossed). Congrats on starting your new journey and the time will fly by!
  6. That has been the hardest obstacle for me is not drinking with meals. So are we to not drink at all not even small sips? I cant lie the lingering taste of food in my mouth occasionally makes me nauseous so having something to wash it down always helps.
  7. Congratulations on getting started!! Due to my insurance I had a 6 month waiting period. I started November 18, and Friday April 20 is my last appointment. I have scheduled my surgery for May 17, as long as insurance permits. A friend of mine was a self pay and from her first appointment to her surgery date, was only a month.
  8. I'm new to the my journey. Looking for people in the area. My surgery is scheduled for May 17!
  9. Hello everyone! I have just found this site and am really excited to meet and talk with you all! My last appointment for my insurance requirements is April 20! I'm getting really excited and nervous! My surgery is scheduled for May 17, well as long as my insurance cooperates! So far they have! I have been over weight as long as I can remember. Ive struggled with fad diets and quick fixes to no avail. I've finally come to the conclusion that this is the right decision for me after years of pondering. I can't wait to meet new friends to help me along this journey. B
