chimboree its all good! isn't it. actually i feel like i'm always on this. a good friend of mine is getting the band on tomorrow i'm having a little prayer for her (i dont usually pray)

i just checked them out chimboree and there shipping is more than the poducts and also it take 2 weeks. i think i need to open up my own store over here. this just isn't working out

breadlady in contact with them but over here we dont use the shake and protein drinks and stuff. i found Netrition.com hopefully they shipp to ireland . here they just tell you to drink slim fast. like come on! you guys have more choice over there and i want this to work so i want all the help i can get. you get me breadlady?

i just went onto the Bariatriceating.com web site and they dont ship to ireland i'm heart broken it was going to help me out so much does anyone know of other web sites to get the same stuff any help would be great

Breadlady thats wonderful that your date has been moved forward. i keep calling where i'm getting my band to see if any one has canceled but no luck! i came across another book so again i bought it its called The Patient's Guide to Weight Loss Surgery! Everything you need to know about Gastric Bypass & Bariatric Surgery its quite interesting and talks about the Band , the surgery and it helps you understand a lots more about it. it also talks about insurance company. must same i think its interesting The only thing I didn't like was that its talored for the States. And as everyone know by now I'm Irish!! But I think its a good read! Lynette i hope that this book is as good as the ladies were saying. its aimed at lapband patience so thats a one up so far!! thats great you can pic it up so easily. also what have you bought for your opp i feel totally unprepared i've got nothing. this week i'll get things can you give me a list of what you've got PLEASE!! Neef that sounds like a very very lucky day to me!! Cherry i have so meny rewards that i'm going to give myself.. god help anyone around me the day i loose the last lb or 80lb!!!! well i'm off to get my little girls some shoes i hope to god i find something nice i'm fed up getting the same stuff every where stocks the same horrible stuff i want something different. every time i bring her for a walk to the park there are 5 other kids with the same shoes..(sorry had to get that off my chest) xx

lynette i was trying to figure out how they did the sheet also would be great to have one here the book is about 12 euro so i'd say no more than 20 $ and because its american its probably cheaper. i couldn't find it in a shop but you could defo try the shops over there. one other bit of advice they gave was to buy this book! Laparoscopic Adjustable Gastric Banding Ahroni Ph.D. A. R. N. P. Jessie H.: you can buy it on Amazon or play.com.. it was better to buy the book before the op than after it. but all of them said it was great. and personally if someone from ireland likes it well id say some one from the states will like it more (just because of the style of writing as its an american author) anyways hope it helps you guys

hey everyone can you believe it my opp is in 16 days. yesterday i met up with a group of ladies who have had the band on and one ladies who is getting banded the same day as me in the same hospital (how cool is that). they were amazing. 1 thing they kept saying was its not a magic wand and thats totally true and they showed me there scars. not too bad at all!!! it was great hearing 'face to face' stories and also what to bring to the hospital. they left me on one note..WALK WALK WALK. as much as you can ever if its only for 1 minute at a time. so i shall be walking walking walking!!! hop everyone is well xxxxx

hey Lili. great to hear from you. hope your well. i know its terrible! i've to pay and they can still tell me no. its to do with my BMI. i was told by my GP that thy wil not do the opp if my BMI is under 35 but when i went for my consulation they said i was ok cos my BMI was 33 but no less. i am getting this band even if it means i've to put it on myself!!!!! when is your date have you been told if you'll be on a pre-diet. if you dont mind me asking what is the cost in the states to get it done...

hey Lynette & everyone else Thanks for having me on board!!! that is a shame about your date being push back. mine was originally for 13 dec 06!! due to me being self pay i didn't want to get into debt so i decided to wait till i could pay altogether. i've decided to tell no-one apart from my mother and partner Adam. I promise you i will keep you so posted that you'll tell me to get off of the tread!!! i was not puton any pre diet i wish i was so i've decided to cut down carbs eat slower and no soft drinks. i've to be careful cos i was told not to lose any weight or they wont do it as i'll fall under the guide lines. but if i do loose a little extra i'll just tell them i shorter in height than i taught!!!!!!!!! hope to hear from all of you bye for now x

hey all, hope everyone is doing well. i'm actually getting banded in the end of june but i've found i've more in common reading your posts than june's post so i'm going to come join you guys here aswell (hope you dont mind) a little about me i've always been around the 190lb mark and i can never keep the weight off hence me trying the band. i am a self pay. as in dublin (ireland) no insurance covers bands or bypass. i have a wonderful little girl Annafrancesca she's 14months and i am doing this as much for her as for myself. anyway i'd best stop typing or i'll be here for ever i wish everyone the best of luck on the road to their new lives.
