1st May Sleeve Op~!
Able to eat almost anything
Just went to the Gym yesterday and I think it's gonna be a regular occurance.

Hope everyone is going well from this thread. Good luck to those coming up.

I thought it was just acid reflux cause that's what I was told by a previous doctor a few yrs back. Good thing is, I haven't had any heart burn since surgery!

The surgeon discovered a large hiatel hernia as he was starting the operation. It was also in a very difficult spot. So it added an extra 2 hrs to the surgery. And due to its location it has made my recovery super painful. Due to the pain, this morning and most of the day my heart rate became tachycardic. And my limbs swelled up. My face turned beet red. Which had everyone extremely concerned. I couldn't walk at all yesterday. The surgeon said it was too dangerous due to the hernia repair. So imagine all the pain plus gas...it was awful. However, this morning he let me walk, the swelling is going down, heart back to normal and I feel much better!! Thanks for checking on me! I got thru it!! Yay me!!

I spoke to the doctors and I'm staying another night. I have been moving around trying to get this horrible gas out. The incision points hurt too. I am trying to eat the Clear Liquids but it's hard keeping them down. Thanks for all the well wishes.

Hi everyone! This is his wife again - he had a rough night - was up every hour or so with dry heaves! The docs say it was due to the anesthesia- he is resting now- and the plan is to shower and start walking In a couple of hours when he wakes. I want to say that the doctors and really ALL the staff here has been absolutely wonderful! The hospital is immaculate and everyone sooooo attentive! Dr. Aceeves and Dr. Campos are professional yet personable too. I really just cannot say enough about how well my husband has been treated. Thank u all for ur support encouragement and prayers!

Thank u everyone! This is his wife he IA back there getting his blood work done now. Everyone has been so nice and the hospital is really nice! They have said that he will have his surgery around 2 ish - we got I'n late last night ao thata the Eason for doing his labs today. The hotel was beautiful and we had the Best dinner at the Colorado - steak that melted in ur mouth! He is pretty nervous but I think he will calm down a bit when we get into the room.

My name is Hutch - I have a tentative date of May 9th with Dr Aceeves in Mexi -Cali
I am a truck driver and struggle with weight loss so I have made the decision to be sleeved.
I am nervous but not scared. I have been 100 lbs overweight for the last 10 years and I have tried every diet imaginable - and they work for a minute and then fail. I have no one to blame but myself. I have diabetes, sleep apnea, asthma and planter faciatias in my feet which causes me alot of pain. I hope and pray that after the surgery with time these conditions that I mention will go away.
I recently got married to a beautiful woman that was sleeved in Janurary,2010- and when she said that I needed to get a passport I thought she was excited about going on vacation but little did I know she had other plans - I am happy though because I feel that this is the best decision for me and for us to live a long and healthy life together.
If you all will join me in my upcoming journey I would greatly appreciate all of ur help and support.

Hi! Newbie here also! Don't have a date yet but hopefully will be going to Dr. Aceeves within the next month- question how do I add friends? Would like to stet building up a network of friends to help me through this journey.....
