  1. Click on your name at the top of the forum page. Click on My Profile Click on EDIT MY PROFILE You will see a purple bar. On the far right you'll see "MY SURGERY" Click on MY SURGERY Then click on MY PHOTOS Hope I got this right and it helps!
  2. I'm no where near goal, but many of the posts I've read, from very successful people, claim that they don't have to track their food nearly as much if they exercise regularly and following the plan of Protein first, then Veggies, then Starches/Carbs. Good luck!
  3. I see your reference to MyFitnessPal, but as an added plus to why I like that SO much is most every food I eat is already there. Their library of foods is very comprehensive! For me, that makes it so easy!
  4. Welcome back! Newbies like me need seasoned losers like you to keep us inspired. Your pictures are amazing. Keep up the awesome work - You're beautiful!
  5. I had more of a problem with the waist bands on my pants than bras. I had a week and a half off before going back to work, so I wore a tank with a shelf bra in it around the house for comfort.
  6. Happiness is tying my shoes and not being out of breath!
  7. Friend me ---- njerry------ it's fun to have buddies!
  8. Hi Robin! And good for you to be making the plans and jumping through the hoops to get your Sleeve. It is a life changing event and the time will pass more quickly than you think. How to get started.....maybe slowly. Do you watch tv? Get up at EVERY commercial and walk in place. Set a timer to walk outside for 5 or 10 minutes every couple of hours. Sometimes baby steps are really just baby steps. I loved, loved, loved food. My pre-op diet was not as strict as a lot of the ones I see posted here and it made me feel so good. All I had to do was cut out sugar and carbs. Everything else was unlimited. Meats and most veggies plus added 50 additional grams of protein per day. I lost more weight doing that than I've lost in the past 2 weeks; and I didn't feel deprived. Just some suggestions. I know you'll do it if it's what you want in your mind, body and soul. P.S. - Don't lay around with a cold (that's how colds turn into bronchitis and pneumonia) get outside and walk around. Your lungs will thank you! Good luck, we're here for you!
  9. Do you use My Fitness Pal? It's an awesome way to track your food, Water and exercise. The list of foods to choose from is SO comprehensive -I love it. You're down 86 pounds and probably a whole lot more knowledgeable than me, but I read a lot of posts with the reminder of Protein first, then veggies then starches. Good luck to you!!
  10. I have to chime in too. I was sleeved on 3/27. I'm down about 27 total from pre-op and 20 from surgery. I haven't lost any in almost 2 weeks. But like Bratvp says, it's more progress than I've made on most any other diet. I have to remind myself ALL THE TIME...."I didn't gain the weight overnight...." Are you getting your Vitamins in? That will go A LONG WAY toward helping with depression. Those B-vits are critical. And getting out and exercising will help so much releasing good-feeling endorphins. We ARE NOT going to fail this time! Hang in there. We can lean on each other!! Message any time if you want to chat!
  11. Hiya amazin! Great job and welcome to forum. You'll really enjoy the information you can get here, and before long, you'll be one of the seasoned advice-givers!
  12. Like it has been mentioned. You are not going to want any sugar (naturally occurring or not) during this time period. Good luck on May 10th!!
  13. Seems like there are a lot of posts about stalls today. Lean on the knowledge and encouragement of the amazing and successful people of this forum. I'm in a stall too, we just have to be patient. As the saying goes...."We didn't put the weight on overnight......" Hang in there!
  14. Hoping and praying for you both - Jewels and Artsy!
  15. Lean on the knowledge this forum has to offer. Stalling and gaining seem to go with journey. Hang in there!!
  16. I'm going to be able to shop in MY OWN CLOSET for awhile :-D
  17. Ohhh! So happy for you!! Keep up the great work!!
  18. I agree with Nikki. Without trying to be redundant - Pdxman explains it very well. For me, it feels like a much more NATURAL option. Good luck!
  19. Angela, I feel your pain. I was sleeved at the end of March and have only lost a couple of pounds in the last couple of weeks. But I read and read and read the threads on this forum and it gives me hope. It appears that most everyone goes through these stalls and then they come out of them. I walk and I bike and I log my food intake on My Fitness Pal. I think, at this stage (at least for me), I'm just not getting enough food in me. (around 550-750 calories/day). So, I'm probably stuck in starvation mode! I feel confident we will both get out of this stall and start losing soon! Good luck!
  20. I was wondering the same thing!
  21. This is a link to the Gratiot Medical Center in alma, MI. They have body contouring procedures and estimates of prices if you poke around their WebSite a little. Good luck. I'm hoping in a year or so to get a little face lift. http://www.midmichigan.org/conditions-treatments/cosmetic/body-contouring/
  22. Many people here, including myself, have been in your shoes. It feels like everything is hurry-up and wait! Good luck!!
  23. Congrats - Congrats! I'm 3 weeks post op too. I'm almost down 30. Had a little stall this past week or so. I think I need to get more food in me, it's just so hard sometimes. Enjoy the ride!
  24. I tried my first cup of coffee this morning. I was sipping on my husband's cup, actually and he's prepared it the same way for years. The funny thing for me is that it tasted so weird. I didn't get sick from it, but if I want to pursue having a cup then I think I need to go back to the drawing board and figure out a new way (taste) so I can enjoy it. Luckily, I'm not addicted to it at all. I just enjoy a cup in the mornings and miss the ritual more than the coffee.
  25. Oh my gosh! That is so cool! I never get tired of reading the "I made my goal" threads. It gives those of us, early on this path such hope and inspiration. Thank you! And enjoy!!
