  1. Sorry to hear it has been cancelled or let's say postpone... I think it's natural get nervous before any type of surgery.. Remember this is going to help you live a healthier life..
  2. How did you make your homemade broth??
  3. That's good to know. Hang in there.
  4. How are you feeling now?
  5. I myself am on day 2 of my pre op diet. My doc said stay away from carbonated drinks. I have 2 protein shakes and for dinner 4 oz of fish & 1/2 cup of veggies.. I have had sugar free jello, water, & crystal light. I have not tried the chicken broth yet. I heard that really helps. I was told that I could have anything without calories. (0 calories) I was also told sugar free Popsicle help. They also tell me it gets better on the 3rd day...
  6. The center that is doing my surgery provided us with the protein mix that is mixed with water. They had many flavors which I picked strawberry. It's not too bad. I had 1 for breakfast, then 1 for lunch. I had 4 oz of fish & 1/2 cup of veggies. I must have at least 64 oz of liquid which I don't have problem with, I drink lots of water anyway. I hope day 2 goes better.
  7. I myself just started day 1 of my pre op diet... I also have 13 days to go... It's going to be tough..
  8. I myself am two weeks out from my surgery as well. Just as you I am excited and nervous at the same time but I know it's all for the best
  9. I start my pre-op diet on Jan 2 & from what I understand from my surgical center is you can not have any carbonated drinks..
  10. I was wondering, what city are you in. I am in the Chgo area & my surgical center is great. They have free seminars weekly to explain the different surgeries that are available.
  11. I also will get the lap band on this day as well.
  12. My surgery date is January 16 and I can't wait. It's been a big battle for many years with my weight just raising all the time. I look forward to when I can walk up the stairs in my home and not be out of breath. I also know that my knees will enjoy the relief.
