  1. 2muchfun.....I love every thing you just said....thanks for sharing that. I had my band since 3/29 and have felt I have been doing horribly. I have lost 25 pounds and holding steady....lol. It is upsetting to know that this money was spent to help save my life and I can't get my head wrapped around this. I'm going to start going to a support group and try to exercise more. I need to make more time for ME!!!!! Sent from my iPhone using LapBandTalk
  2. What a total blessing. That is so awesome.....CONGRATS. I'm a diabetic and was taking a HUGE amount of insulins. I had my surgery on 3/29 and down 23 pounds and have cut both of my insulins in half and my A1C has dropped from a 10 to 7.7 in that shot amount of time. I can't wait to stop the blood pressure mess. Keep up the good work!!!! Sent from my iPhone using LapBandTalk
  3. Thank you again everyone. I am learning so much with each of your posts. I can drink water so there is no issue there. I guess I think I'm taking smaller bites and chewing well but maybe not. I'm already frustrated with this band and just want to eat.......ughhhhh. I'm praying my way through it. Sent from my iPhone using LapBandTalk
  4. Sorry I didn't read your response before I replied. An unfill? I'm only at 3.5 can I be at the max this early for me? Sent from my iPhone using LapBandTalk
  5. Thanks so much guys. So at this point I should continue getting fills and just learn with each one? Sent from my iPhone using LapBandTalk
  6. I had my surgery on 3/29 and now up to 3.5 in my band (first fill of 1 cc last week). I didn't know what sliming was until I got that fill. So now it happens a lot and I'm concerned that I have extended my pouch or have slippage. I'm supposed to go back next week for a fill but kinda worried. Need more information on this sliming. I chew my food well and still gets stuck so I guess that is one of my reasons that I slime like this. This is so gross. Sent from my iPhone using LapBandTalk

  10. Thank you guys your comments.......it really made me look at some thing differently. @runningscared - obviously you don't have any children. She is definitely in charge of her health. I'm just saying I want to be here for her as a support system like everyone should have and I can't do that right now if I don't have it together. I think you read too much into comments. 11. Congrats......that must feel really awesome to have that much off in such a short time. Sent from my iPhone using LapBandTalk
  12. The gurgling sensation is normal but the inability to drink isn't. I don't know too much but you may need to go all your doctor because you may need an unfill. There is still a lot of swelling going on and they probably put some Fluid in your band and it may be too much right now. Good luck. Hope you feel better. Sent from my iPhone using LapBandTalk
  13. Have been banded since March 29th. I went for my first fill 3 weeks ago and they wouldn't give it to me since I was getting food stuck. I had my first fill of 1 cc making me at 3.5 in my 10 cc band. Here is the problem......I ate 2 street tacos last night and felt like I ate 10 seriously. I got so nauseated but no PB or vomiting. I'm wondering when I get that way am I stretching my pouch or do you only do that when you vomit? I haven't experience any of this and have no freaking clue what sliming is. I have lost 23 pounds and gain 1 -2 here and there. I feel depressed and think I need someone who can help me.......there are soooo many questions. Does anyone want to be a mentor or participates in a support group in the Dallas area that you can refer me to? I have got to get it together soon for several reasons but one main one is so I can be a good example for my daughter who is having her surgery next week. Sent from my iPhone using LapBandTalk
  14. Congratulations to you. I just got banded on the 29th and my daughter just finished her insurance requirements and now is awaiting approval for surgery in May.
  15. I am so sorry to hear about your struggles. Praying for you.
  16. I had my surgery on 3/29 and I know exactly what you mean. I lost 20 pounds thus far and just made it to the soft foods and I want to eat everything in site. I am scared that I'm not going to be able to do this and need my first fill ASAP!!!! I went to a wedding yesterday and had a small plate of a scoop of lasagna, chicken pasta, salad, mozzarella stick, cake, and balsamic salmon. I know good and well that even though it was smaller portions I should not have been eating that.....ughhhh. I'm knew this was going to be hard, but I didnt expect this. I'm sorry you are going through this as well. I will pray that we both make it. Good luck!!
