  1. Happened to me. I had noticed it after my gallbladder removal in February, too, so I thought it may have been related to the anesthesia. Sent from my iPad using VST
  2. PDXman is my inspiration. Awesome. Sent from my iPad using VST
  3. True-it was. A quick post on my part, sorry if I was misleading. Sent from my iPad using VST
  4. I don't understand the books. These things (sado-masochism) have been going on forever. Why the sudden interest now? Has the book made S&M the topic of polite conversation? Can women whom have read these books honestly say any of this is new? Or is it just acceptable "mommy porn" so that general readers can read it without concern that their friends will think they are "sick" or "perverted"? Why be so worried about what others will think? I sure miss the 70s! Of course I was only a kid, so... How about we just do what we want with like-minded consenting adults and forget about what is "nice" or expected? Besides, rumor has it there is much better porn out there! Sent from my iPad using VST
  5. What's so hard? Are your doing this for you or your friends? If you're doing this for you, then it doesn't really matter what everyone else thinks, huh? Sent from my iPad using VST
  6. This is ridiculous. Sounds like the therapist is just lining his/her pockets with your WLS money. Definitely see this person as you go through your WLS journey if you find the time useful, but I can't imagine why 4 sessions as the Eval are necessary. Sent from my iPad using VST
  7. The Affordable Health Care Act outlawed denials by insurance companies for pre-existing conditions. Sent from my iPad using VST
  8. 35 BMI, getting sleeved tomorrow. At my pre-op appointment today with my doctor, my wife (who doesn't want me to have surgery) went with me. As we were waiting in the lobby, another WLS patient asked my wife how long it had been since I had my surgery! After my wife quit laughing, she told the lady that my surgery is tomorrow. The lady leaned over and whispered "Weight Watchers". :/ Sent from my iPad using VST
  9. Have you been following the post-op diet? Sent from my iPad using VST
  10. I'm 1 week from yesterday. I'm not nervous at all, just anxious to get this lapband out and get on with my life. Sent from my iPad using VST
  11. I get tired of people on here asking that! Sent from my iPad using VST
  12. You mean with someone else, right? Sent from my iPad using VST
  13. 12g of Protein won't keep you from losing weight. I'd say cut him some slack. Sent from my iPad using VST
  14. Justine13- I wish you hadn't deleted this post. I got it by email because of my subscription settings, and it was a GREAT post-very honest, and I think it mirrors how a lot of us feel. I definitely understand the idea that we can be a little hesitant and worried about how we will behave and what we will do with the new confidence we gain through the sleeve/weight loss process. I would definitely encourage you to repost what you had written if you feel comfortable-I think it will help a lot of people. Sent from my iPad using VST
  15. This is an outstanding post! I am still 3 weeks pre-op, and I wondered how people could have "buyer s remorse", but you did a great job of explaining it, and I understand better now. Thanks! Sent from my iPad using VST
  16. I couldn't imagine not telling my wife something like this, even if I thought she would be critical. The longer you lie, the worse it'll be, I would think. Sent from my iPad using VST
  17. I haven't read about your issues in prior posts, but I suspect you may find this is all for the best in the long run. Sent from my iPad using VST
  18. The author used the word "fatties"?! Wtf? That passes for journalism? Sent from my iPad using VST
