  1. Nah, all religion is voodoo. Live your life to the fullest, care for others, make the world a better place for your having lived here. That's as close to "heaven" as any if us will get. Sent from my iPad using VST
  2. Cool. I'm 7 weeks post sleeve. Sent from my iPad using VST
  3. I live in Murrieta (and was sleeved there), but my office is in Bakersfield. I'd be happy to help in any way I can. Sent from my iPad using VST
  4. I was banded in 2007. When I had my gallbladder out in Feb 2012, the doc confirmed that the band had slipped (I knew it about a week after the original surgery!). Weight 235 on August 6, 2012, when I had the revision to the sleeve. Currently weigh 209, and couldn't be happier. If you're considering the revision, don't hesitate! Get it done ASAP. 5. Happened to me. I had noticed it after my gallbladder removal in February, too, so I thought it may have been related to the anesthesia. Sent from my iPad using VST
  6. PDXman is my inspiration. Awesome. Sent from my iPad using VST
  7. True-it was. A quick post on my part, sorry if I was misleading. Sent from my iPad using VST
  8. I don't understand the books. These things (sado-masochism) have been going on forever. Why the sudden interest now? Has the book made S&M the topic of polite conversation? Can women whom have read these books honestly say any of this is new? Or is it just acceptable "mommy porn" so that general readers can read it without concern that their friends will think they are "sick" or "perverted"? Why be so worried about what others will think? I sure miss the 70s! Of course I was only a kid, so... How about we just do what we want with like-minded consenting adults and forget about what is "nice" or expected? Besides, rumor has it there is much better porn out there! Sent from my iPad using VST
  9. What's so hard? Are your doing this for you or your friends? If you're doing this for you, then it doesn't really matter what everyone else thinks, huh? Sent from my iPad using VST
  10. This is ridiculous. Sounds like the therapist is just lining his/her pockets with your WLS money. Definitely see this person as you go through your WLS journey if you find the time useful, but I can't imagine why 4 sessions as the Eval are necessary. Sent from my iPad using VST
  11. The Affordable Health Care Act outlawed denials by insurance companies for pre-existing conditions. Sent from my iPad using VST
  12. 35 BMI, getting sleeved tomorrow. At my pre-op appointment today with my doctor, my wife (who doesn't want me to have surgery) went with me. As we were waiting in the lobby, another WLS patient asked my wife how long it had been since I had my surgery! After my wife quit laughing, she told the lady that my surgery is tomorrow. The lady leaned over and whispered "Weight Watchers". :/ Sent from my iPad using VST
  13. You don't see her behavior as passive-aggressive against the other women? Sent from my iPad using VST
  14. Have you been following the post-op diet? Sent from my iPad using VST
  15. I'm 1 week from yesterday. I'm not nervous at all, just anxious to get this lapband out and get on with my life. Sent from my iPad using VST
  16. Sharon Heaston (909) 945-8894 I'm not Kaiser, but am going through Dr. Suh. Sent from my iPad using VST
  17. Sounds like another good reason NOT to get a tattoo. What WLS surgery doesn't make look wierd, age will. Sent from my iPad using VST
  18. I get tired of people on here asking that! Sent from my iPad using VST
  19. I'm getting revision on August 8 with Dr. Suh in Murrieta. Hopefully he can do it in one surgery. Sent from my iPad using VST
  20. I'm glad you liked him. He did my lapband on 07 and never believed me when I told him it slipped 3 days later. He removed my gall bladder a few months ago and FINALLY confirmed that it had slipped. Sent from my iPad using VST
