  1. I'm on my pre op liquid diet. I've been bought Unjury and Body Fortress from Wal Mart. So far, I like the Unjury ok. It doesn't have a nasty after taste, so that's great. I looked up on Pinterest some protein shake recipes. I found some good ones. I suggest you do the same.
  2. It really depends on what your insurance requires. I asked them to fax me all the info they required myself and my dr to do. I made it into a check list and stayed right on top of it with my Dr office. Do the same...that way NOTHING is missed.
  3. Good Luck to all of you! PLEASE keep us updated on how you're feeling. A lot of us are crossing over to the other side on Thursday.
  4. I finished my 6 month nutrition plan on 8/10. The office sent in my paper work on 8/12. Two weeks later we heard back that the office had forgotten to show documentation of 3 office visits during the time working with the nutritionist. They sent that in and I heard back on the 13th and am having surgery on the 27th. So over a month. But not too bad.
  5. What a great idea...to have goal clothes along the way! Major Congrats! And happy anniversary! I love being married.
  6. If you saw him in Visalia, where will you be having surgery?
  7. Please keep posting ESP for those of us who are crossing over this week.
  8. Def ask why. My ins needed more info that them office had forgotten to send. Then there is always an appeal. Do it all!
  9. Woo Hoo! Welcome to the approval club!
  10. Thank you, Thank you! The only time I've been in the hospital was to have my tonsils out (when I was 21!) and to give birth 4 times. So this will be my first real cut open experience. I ESP love the pillow between the seat belt idea! THANKS EVERYONE!!!!!!!!
  11. Hi Guys, my surgery is scheduled for the 27th. It will be outpatient and we have a 2 hour drive home. What should I wear home? Should I borrow my sister in laws Moo Moo?
  12. Let us know how you're feeling, etc.... A lot of us at going to the other side on the 27th. We're looking to you!
  13. All, this is some food for thought. My awesome husband "took one for the team" and had a vasectomy last summer. I'm wondering if my periods will get heavier as I lose and will need to go back on Birth Control. I hate the hormones associated with BC. Hmmmmm??????
  14. I'm so grateful I'm not the only one who has chosen to keep this to myself. Thanks for the love and support. It makes me feel ten million times better knowing I'm not the only one who has chosen to keep it under my lid. My In Laws are very loving and acceptive people, but I think they'd think I was totally and completely crazy....but they are all super thin people. Even my kids (thankfully) take after them and are long and lean! I love being here and having you all for support! THANK YOU SO MUCH!
  15. Between a "Summerrain" and a "DesertRose" we are two things that go together! Keep in good spirits. Just know we ALL go through it. You're not alone. AND you're not the only one who needs to throw a tantrum. I'll look for you the next time I need to throw one!
  16. This is actually something I hope happens for me! I feel like I'm cruising through life with a flippin down comforter on! It doesn't help that I live in the So Cal Desert!
  17. I'm with you! I'm not telling anyone....only my husband knows
  18. I went in on Wednesday to have my pre op labs done. The phlebotomist who was doing it has been at this lab for several years. I've watched her and she's watched me gain and gain....ESP since we had three babies at the same time As each other. I hardly recognized her on this visit. She looks fabulous! I asked her what diet she is following and she said..."I had GB and am sticking to high protein/low carb" She said " I would have chosen LB, but I didn't feel I was disciplined enough". That spoke volumes to me! I KNOW this is a tool and I'm so happy and grateful I get to put it in my tool belt!
  19. Just keep in mind that your body can retain water and that can show as a gain. Keep doing the fabulous work you're doing. It'll come off. My brother who was banded 3 years ago said that he would have a couple weeks of no weight loss or even a gain of a couple pounds and then all of a sudden he would lose 10 lbs! Just like THAT!
