  1. Wow! That is lightening speed! Good Luck! We'll all be thinking of you and rooting for you!
  2. Watch the current episode of Modern Family 3 days post op! My stomach is still hurting from laughing. It's painful! Keep to Dateline: Investigates or something else boring.
  3. We all have discouraging moments. That's normal. Just keep in mind that you are 75lbs better today than not doing anything at all! It'll keep coming off and you'll be so happy! Keep posting and know that we're all cheering you on!
  4. Help! I'm two days post op. I haven't been able to burp much, and my chest feels like I have the worst heart burn! I've been hot padding it up, walking like crazy, and doing EXACTLY what I'm supposed to do. So which is it? Cn I take some chewable tums?
  5. MummyMeg...I'm the opposite. I can fart...but no burps!
  6. Me too! I get to go to regular liquids on Tuesday and I'm stoked!
  7. Maddysgram...i love your posts. You crack me up! Keep em coming!
  8. Im doing Lindora when i go to solids. It high protein/low carb...not like adkins. They encourage natural sugars and portion control even with protein. I've done WW before and Im one of those people who does better when things are more strict. For me....just for me...WW had too much grey area and i felt like i could cheat easier.
  9. I'm with y'all. I was banded yesterday late morning. I did wake up from anesthesia in a lot of pain, but my nurse was right there helping me with pain meds. Then I started dry heaving and she gave me a shot of Zofran. It's so wonderful to know you're not alone. We all have one another and the veteran Bandsters.
  10. Yes, I get dizzy when I stand in one place. I have to either keep walking or lay down.
  11. I was given a Px for resolvable Zofran. It has helped tremendously. My Dr called a couple hours ago to check on me. I was able to ask a lot of questions and he was very helpful. Thank you everyone for the well wishes. I've been walking a lot and I can tell its helping a ton! Oh and I do have a Px for pain meds...it's liquid Lortab.
  12. I don't know what I'll name my band yet, but I know she's a girl! She went in yesterday (the 27th) around noon. All went well. I was home around 6pm...after a 2 hour drive. All four surgeons with my group where there and they were fantastic. My nurses were wonderful too! Now my sweet Husband is taking care of me and doing a great job! I'm in a lot of pain, but its not completely unbearable. I've got my hot pad on me and am taking my meds on time. Did anyone have problems with dry heaving?
  13. Well, hello fellow LDS-er! What a great question. Here's what I suggest. Take the bread and mush that puppy up. If it doesn't get mushy enough, wait for the water and that should take it to a liquid. Also try to get a small, crust less piece.
  14. I'll join the band club tomorrow morning.
  15. I'm sure there are many others out there who are in the same boat, were in the same boat, and will be in the same boat as me...I'm a bundle of nerves. I'm excited and scared all at the same time! But the goal is a healthy body and life style. This body has brought 4 children into this world...now it's time to get it healthy again! Good Luck to all of you getting banded soon. <3
  16. ...well, and I lost weight during my 6 month diet.
  17. My Dr only required (for me) a liquid diet for 24 hours before surgery...nothing after midnight. I triple checked and sure enough it was right. I personally chose to start my liquid diet on Sunday. My surgery is on Thursday. So 4 days liquid. I just want to be super sure I'm good for surgery. My BMI is just at 40. So I was told that was the reason for not doing more.
  18. No. unjury is only online....I wish it was a Wal Mart. No, I got Body Fortress at Wal fart
  19. I promise to keep you on the up and up. Call your Insurance and ask them what's going on.
  20. Thank you! I love and miss her a lot. I'm proud of the Mother she was for me and my 7 other siblings.
