I have a digital one as well. I think i got it at Bed, Bath, and Beyond...you put your height in and it tells you your fat % it also saves it for you so the next time you weigh it remembers your weight from before and tells you the difference...it does the math. If you really want to get fancy Tanita ( not sure if I spelled it right) makes the best.

I'll keep this short because my laptop died and this is from my Kindle. I think this discussion is a waste of time and that the original post was highly inappropriate. This is a SUPPORT GROUP for people who are already banded or who are seriously considering lap band surgery. It is not for just anyone to post whatever they think about the band including incorrect and unscientific information. I hope the original poster will please refrain from further replies. The depth of emotion that you evoked tells me your negative posts are not welcome here.

Whoa this is better than facebook!! Lol. I think its wonderful that bandsters feel so protective over there choice and their band in general. However this is a public forum, where thoughts, opinions and expressions of all kinds are allowed. Lets remember we are all in this same weight loss game together, so lets play nice.

Great topic...I get banded on the 12th and Im wondering the same thing. So far the people I told have been supportive but those I havent told Im expecting opposition. Ive been overweight all my life...really...if this helps me lose weight then be happy for me and be supportive. I dont have time to deal with jealous or ignorant people.

I agree with coco.
I told only a few people.
People talk about wls as the easy way out all the time.
Well i stopped listening cause the only way you can think of it as easy is if your ignorant.
I just keep looking down at my clothes and see how much better i look and feel and realize it was the right decision for me.
Honestly I haven't worked harder in my weight lose ever
They just don't get it.
Your choice is to either educate them with documentation or decide you know best for your body and are happy with your choice and then ignore them.

I love the Jimmy Dean turkey sausage crumbles. I add about 1/8th of a cup to my scrambled egg with some cheese. This is my Breakfast most mornings. adds a little more Protein to my egg, and a ton of flavor.
Also, I cannot live without my Mio Sweet Tea flavoring.

My fav was Refried Bean Soup. Keep in mind, I hate Beans of any kind, but this tasted like real Mexican food & had flavor!
Mix/puree:
1 can of refried beans
1 can of chicken broth
1 can of rotel
Heat it up & enjoy!
I would add a small scoop of fat free sour cream to it also.
